dunk---I've hitten a lot of home runs,but could never get more than a foot off the ground.

Dunk, at 6'1 235, I can barely get the bottom of the rim.

My Reasoning.

Even if you're completely horrible at baseball, if you get decent wood on a ball, in a place like Yankee Stadium, to right, it may carry out.

However no one can accidentally dunk. You don't just go up for a layup and some how dunk it on accident. If you dunk, you're trying to dunk, and you can do it more than once.

I don't think they ever were specific. Seton (if you know the show) I believe said he hit a HR in little league. He also pointed out it would be cool on any b-ball court in the country, you could just go up and dunk.

Thats kinda how I see it. If it wasn't in a MLB park against MLB pithcers hitting HR's would be pointless because no one could see them, and it would take too much time to set up.

But if you could dunk, you could just jump into a rec league game somewhere, and shut everything down with a thunderous dunk, that no one be expecting.

I can already dunk on a nerf hoop. I think I'll go for the homerun.

i also look at it this way, once you dunk, you can dunk anytime. there is no challenge. hitting a homerun isnt easy to do even for people who do it a lot. you cant just walk up to the plate and hit a homerun whenever you want.

I've hit a home run on a 180 foot fence.

and I've dunked on a 7 1/2 ft. rim.

I liked them both equally.

I'd love to dunk on a 10 foot rim over somebody...

I've dunked on 10 ft. goals more than I've hit homeruns, so I chose homeruns = chicks dig the longball. Although, I've never dunked on a 10 ft. goal in a game. I've hit more than a few homers in games.

If you are a little over 6' tall and can jump a little, you can probably dunk a basketball. Now, not everybody that size can, but then you also have your Calvin Murphy's of the world. I don't think it takes an incredible amount of skill to dunk. You either have the jumping ability to dunk or you don't. Now, to hit a homerun, you have to hit a round ball with a round bat square enough to take it out of the park when an ever so slight error in contact will cause the ball to pop straight up or beat itself into the ground.The ball is also coming at you at very fast speeds or the pitcher pulls the string and throws his change-up and you screw yourself into the ground, missing the pitch by three feet and really looking silly. I would rather hit the home run. I think it's a tougher test of your athletic coordination and skill.

Done both, definitely say that dunking feels sweeter. Especially when you can start getting up high enough to get a little creative.

Not a prayer for me to dunk so I'd go with that.

Though as far as satisfaction, I can't imagine it feeling better than being down two in your last AB's, two on, two outs, the count is full and you've fouled off 4 straight, and you crank one deep into the left center bleachers. It's a damn fine feeling, and the man to man duel between you and the pitcher that you just dominated is hard to eclipse.

If we're talking at the highest level, a homerun because it is much harder to hit a major league baseball out of a park over jumping and dunking on a breakaway.

Ok, seriously, this is a big reason why I hate basketball. People think a dunk is awesome. Give me a fucking break!

Agree with this 100% and i will take the home run.

id rather be able to dunk, more chances/opportunities to display your dunking abilities to other..(i.e. more pick up bball games than pick up baseball games with legitimate pitchers)
