Mastny could be the gem in the ruff...that takes us to the promised land. Looks like the bull pen gas cans are liining up quite well this season.

One good thing out of this....we have a new manager that has a ton of experience in dealing with the press while his team flounders in the basement all season.

Yeah I saw this, Mastny might be one of the worst pitchers ever. Glad to see him get another shot! (heavy sarcasm alert)

The funny thing with Mastny is that if the Indians would have gone on to win the World Series in '07 I was always going to remember Mastny for being one of the unsung heroes. His 11th inning against the Red Sox in Game 2, retiring Ortiz, Manny, and Youkilis is still one of the amazing things I've ever seen considering it was Tom fucking Mastny. I remember thinking the game was going to be over very soon and somehow the guy goes 1-2-3. The Tribe blows up the next inning and I thought Mastny's performance was something I could tell my grandchildren about how the Tribe won the title. Ummm, not to be I suppose.

We are in for another long year. I bet Wedge is now glad he is on the outside. Getting fired by the Indians seems to be a good thing.
