Do not ban people without going through me first unless they something just blatantly out of line. I didn't see Society's post so I am not sure how bad it was but it seemed like a stern warning could have been enough at first. I know the guy is a douche but still.

Understood. Since you didn't see it he posted on douches on bikes thread that all Jewish people on bikes suck, started a ton of threads, one titled Jews, Japs, White, Blacks....He has since returned twice and went crazy and they got him again. Multiple racial slurs, talking about killing certain minorities and gays.

Yeah, IMO he's the epitome of what LJ means when talking about "fellowship" on message boards. He might rarely actually go OVER a line, but delights in being a dick to induce other people to flip out.
We've made alterations to the rules. There has been talk as to what is or isn't improper. There's grey area there. So...instead of being a good fellow and just trying to, you know, be civil and respectful to some degree, he decided to hammer away at the grey area in some "These rules aren't 100 percent ironclad!!!! Look at me prove it by pounding you over the head with words that other people have used!!!!!" display of assholery. Which is definitely atrocious fellowship for a message board.

I am thinking of changing up the way the entire site is administered. Make it all community policed. Once someone has received a certain warning level from other posters they receive a ban. Once a post has been reported a certain number of times it is deleted. Then no one would be able to bitch about the enforcement of the rules.

Not a bad idea. Honestly, we have a very select few that are problems. I guess I just don't get why people wanna come on a message board and piss people off....I guess I just don't see what is fun about that.

people will just report things just to do it then or because they don't like the poster. I say just put a disclaimer on the Serious Business form that anything goes except cursing in thread titles and nudity. Then on the flip side make a Not So Serious Busniess Forum for the pussies!

This is something I would like to see changed as well.
