Without clicking the link I bet it has something to do with LSU or the SEC.

It's too bad a player of this caliber will never beat Penn State.

Maybe he'll get a chance to thump OSU in a national title game. I'm sure there are still some guys in the program who can tell him how much fun that was.

Uhm no.

Unless Percy Harvin came to UF as a QB and then switched positions before becoming one of the most dangerous players in NCAA football, then there's no similarities.

Good athlete? Yes. But Percy Harvin? HAHAH.

Would those be the same guys that have lost 9 games the past two years after being ranked in top5/10 in preseason?

Common dude are you serious? As a Florida fan I'll say the only two good teams in the SEC last year were Alabama and Florida. The conference outside of those two wasn't very good. In fact, LSU was the same team as PSU. Didn't beat anybody noteworthy, and lost to the only good teams they played. You wanna talk about past SEC seasons fine, but that's completely irrelevant.

Russell Sheppard won't be the next Harvin. No one really can be. He certainly won't be in LSU's offense which won't feature him in a hybrid RB/WR role that Meyer and Mullen invented and that Harvin perfected. If Sheppard manages to post three consecutive years of 400 yards rushing and receiving with double digit TD totals you can talk about him being the next Harvin, but not until after that.

It was the best conference in college football, last season, yet again. No disputing it.

Percy Harvins don't come around very often. The only guy I can think of that has been comparable to Percy Harvin is Reggie Bush, but Reggie was a rb first, wr second. Percy was the opposite.

Uhm, there is disputing it. Considering the rest of the SEC was mediocre at best after Florida and Alabama, the Big 10 was mediocre after Ohio State and Iowa, the Big 12 was decent, Pac 10 was pretty much garbage, I'd say there was no best conference last year.

Don't say there isn't a dispute. I'm a Florida fan but not an SEC cocksucker, you're a Florida fan and SEC cocksucker, it's okay there's a lot of you guys out there.

You are not a Florida fan. You are a bandwagon fan. Go root for someone else. Not only are you a bandwagon fan, you are a complete moron for trying to compare the Big10 to the SEC. The Big10 is lucky to be the 3rd or 4th best conference last year. Anytime you want to compare the depth of the two conferences just let me know.

Bandwagon fan? I've been rooting for Florida since I was born, along with Ohio State because those are the two schools my family has attended. I currently attend OSU and rooted for OSU against UF in 2007 but I've been pulling for the Gators since I started following college football because of family ties.

And the Big 10 was VERY comparable to the SEC this year.

At the top:
Big 10: 2 BCS bowl winners
SEC: 2 BCS bowl winners

In the bowl season head to head:
Big 10: 1
SEC: 1

Opponents winning percentage for teams that won bowl games:
SEC: .713
Big 10: .735

Like I said, very comparable, just because the SEC has been better in years past doesn't mean they were better this year.

The Big 10 has an overall winning record against the SEC.

Big 10 > SEC
wrong. SEC has a winning record against the Big10 since the conference was formed. SEC > Big10
