So I am just wondering if he really thinks he is witty. I have always found his attempts at being witty to be extremely dry and juvenile.

I am going to guess that he is nothing more than a college student, sophomore at best.
He claimed to be in IT at one point, but that was blown up when he tried to link a picture from his email. I think his posting patterns fit a college student.
