This game has a bit of a playoff feel to it.

Very similar to the Lakers/Celtics game from last week.

I hate to say it, but games like this I believe we are better off without Shaq. We're better of to go with a quicker lineup that can get up and down the floor ala JJ Hickson. Damn...Im glad we didnt trade him!!

The quick lineup has it's advantages, but so does the slow it down game.

And before Footwedge gets on here asking why Jamison wasn't playing
Mike Brown is going with the hot lineup, the lineup on the floor now has been on fire. It has nothing to do with Jamison being a bad player, or not as good as the other PF's you stroke the hot hand.

Cavs 108
Celtics 88
Huge win for the Cavs in Boston!! Best record in the NBA and widened the gap in the Eastern Conference!

I have been pretty critical of him in the past but I dont think the Cavs win this game without JJ Hickson. He was the energy that the Cavs needed. Once he got in thrre and started making plays it just seemed like it became contagious, Mo hit a couple big shots, defense seemed to step it up. Great team effort in the 2nd half.

LOL, it's unbelievable the different things you can hear about a team over the course of a single game...

Tonight showed how valuable Paul Pierce is to the Celtics. He the one scorer they got who can take over a game.

haha. I'll be the first to admit it, I'm fickle as hell when it comes to watching my teams. I will hate them one minute and then love them the next. Thats the life of a Cleveland fan.SQ_Crazies wrote: LOL, it's unbelievable the different things you can hear about a team over the course of a single game...

This is why I wasn't excited about making a trade at the deadline. When Shaq got hurt Brown had to put Hickson in, and all of the sudden the bullshit jumpers stopped, the Cavs started attacking the rim, and the Cavs beat the Celtics by 28 in the second half. JJ is so good finishing above the rim and he has learned where to move to get the ball from LeBron. He runs the floor and challenges every shot in the lane on defense. Jamison is a very good player, but I think we were a better team with Hickson starting. Maybe we will adjust to Jamison and be just as good, but you don't win championships shooting jumpers, you win championships by being men and attacking and defending the rim.

I want to hear Kenny Smith RIGHT NOW. When asked at halftime if the Celtics would beat the Cavs in the playoffs he said "Without question." 20 point home losses definitely warrant a "without question."

I like JJ starting because so many teams discount his whereabouts to start the game. How many times has JJ got 8-10 pts. in the first off cuts to the hole? That doesn't mean he'll continue to get them, at some point teams have to recognize he's going to get his if they don't cover him, but I would keep going to the well as long as we could.
Barkley could get his wish very soon with Shaq going out for awhile. Might see some running we haven't seen in a long time with what we'll be putting on the floor.
The thing that pleases me the most is that losing a piece or two forces the Cav's to change philosophy, often taking several games to adjust but coming out looking strong, they have the pieces to do just about anything they want, play big, play small and do it effectively.Brown needs to see the forest for the trees and come up with a gameplan and stick to it with some confidence. LeBron always sits to start the second and come in with 6-7 minutes to go...tonight he started the second. If he is second guessing his rotation with LBJ I tend to believe he has no confidence whatsoever in what he's doing with everyone else. He needs to come up with an answer fast imo, (I'm not worried, just know the players respond well when they know their role, they don't now)

JJ Hickson was plus 27 in 23 minutes. DWest was plus 27 in 31 minutes. And it was fun watching Mo tonight.

I am done beating a dead horse...as the season develops, people will understand that JJ and Andy are far more effective than Jamison at the 4 spot..Cleveland Buck wrote: This is why I wasn't excited about making a trade at the deadline. I'm calling a truce on the subject. I could do some serious gloating tonight...but I'm not going to. The team won by 20..and the guard play was great.HighRoller74 wrote: And before Footwedge gets on here asking why Jamison wasn't playing
