Who cares who makes it. The guy didn't make a pick, so first come first serve. Keep it going people, nothing to see here.

because 1 person picking for 9% of the teams in the draft is stupid.

I move to strike Non's Titan's pick from the record.

Grown men having a fantasy draft on a forum and yelling out that things aren't fair is stupid IMO. But hey, whatever makes this thing move along. Give the signal to strike and then someone make a pick.

He's an interesting player. Didn't think much of him to begin the season, then he's a vital part to a championship team. I don't see any middle ground with him. I think he'll either do great things or not so great things.

I just think by the time you get a substitute in place it could be another two hours after the deadline.

Maybe the sub also isn't reliable and doesn't log on.

The ones that check often should be the default pickers to keep it moving.

That doesn't mean that someone get's to pick for 3 teams in 1 round. It's like playing monopoly with 4 pieces and you are 3 of them.

i've been pretty quick to pick. it's not a big deal and like i said, if someone else wants in later i'd gladly give them up. it's not a huge deal. i'm like you non, just want to keep going. if people have issue with you doing 3 i'm just wanting to help by making it 2 for each.

I wouldn't have a problem with somebody else picking for a few different teams as long as they're doing reasonable research and making a pick that makes sense for that team.

I guess I see it differently than you guys, but that's fine.

Is it really that important that the draft keeps moving? 2 hours over the limit is a big deal? Most people aren't on until the late afternoon. Does your internet life depend on it?

I move to strike j_crazy's Tennessee pick, on the sole basis of that's exactly who I was going to select

With the 79th pick in the Draft, the San Francisco 49ers select:

Jordan Shipley, WR, University of Texas

If it drags on with each pick taking too long then the draft will slowly die. That's all. I'm checking every once in awhile throughout the day. I know some can't check all the time but 24 hours is a fair time limit for each pick. If you arrange for the subs ahead of time and they're ready to go then that's fine but I don't see the point in waiting 24 hours and then wondering "who is going to pick" and it goes another few hours.

It's not that big of a deal to keep it moving and just anyone pick for that team. I don't think the future of the NFL depends on whether non, jcrazy or whoever selects for the Titans.

I get your point that it's not that important, but it's the same as with anything else. If you commit to it then make a mental note and follow through.

I don't care is somebody picks in 10 mins or 24 hours. I called people out for bitching about that when it first started. Just keep it going that's all, doesn't matter who makes the selection. I was hoping Shipley would make it to the next round, bummer.

I don't care either if it's made in 10 minutes or 24 hours. Mostly it's been going pretty smoothly. I say we keep it going through rounds 4, 5, 6, 7. Although others will probably lose interest the deeper it goes.

Damn. I was thinking about maybe taking Dixon.

He had a DUI I believe back before the season so there's a little bit of the character issue but he definitely has a nice downhill style in a draft where there just aren't that many of those players.

Mendenhall is an explosive back with some speed but I think he's actually a little soft for his size.

*Current selection*

With the 82nd pick, the Pittsburgh Steelers select Pat Angerer, LB, Iowa

The Steelers need a replacement for James Farrior as an inside linebacker in the 3-4. I think Angerer would actually be a nice fit. He's a tad short but displays good range and athletic ability. He made a lot of plays in coverage, in addition to being a good tackler against the run.

Three other players I'd consider here are:
John Jerry T/G...This would be a logical pick. Massive guy can play guard or tackle.

Jon Asamoah G...Smart. Great character. Steelers will like him. Not sure about his power blocking in the run game, he's smaller and not a real mauler type.

Dexter McCluster RB/WR...Fun pick and the Steelers have been known to draft the tricksters. He would fill a few different spots at backup RB and backup WR, special teams, etc.
