Where did I ever say that Kobe Bryant is the greatest? He clearly isn't the best player in the league anymore--that title belongs to LeBron.

However, to say that the Lakers are screwed if people ever play D on Kobe is preposterous, especially since Kobe Bryant has shown he can hit any shot in the game. While LBJ is the better over-all player, Kobe's offensive game is much more polished. Because of that, he will always have a shot, regardless of defense.

Instead of just admitting you were got caught in a hyperbole, you have to drag it out and whine like a bitch and claim WOE IS ME. This is Lakers thread. I don't know what you expected.

What's your point?
What's his fucking point? Why do I all of a sudden have to have a point? We lost 3 in a row and still have a 1/2 game lead on your Lakers. So what the fuck is your point?

You Laker fans are the biggest fucking cunts on this site--seriously, you ruin any good NBA discussion with some stupid fucking bullshit. It gets so old.
Does good NBA discussion include making the statement that the rest of the league is in panic over the return of Z to the Cavs? Saying that good defense is going to shut down Kobe Bryant? If it was that simple I'm pretty sure he wouldn't be one of the greatest players of all time. Hey, I can do it too. If you play good defense on Lebron James/Dwyane Wade/Carmelo Anthony/Kobe Bryant, he isn't as good as if you don't! Holy shit, really? Why did nobody think of that before? Intelligent discussion!

You spew the same shit as Lakers fans do, probably more. As much as you make it seem like they would line up to suck Kobe's dick, which they probably would, you would definitely volunteer to take Lebron's nut any day of the week. I actually think the constant bickering is pretty amusing but you calling people cunts for ruining any sensible NBA discussion is fucking precious.

It's more than any other NBA player during that span---soooooooo, just admit you were wrong PLZ.
Wrong about what? LOL

And that's fine, congrats to him for doing something more than anyone else over 585 games. Something that equates to 15 fucking times--and thats all we hear about. 15 shots over 585 games--most of them equating to basically pointless wins, like tonight. You can understand how such an underwhelming stat would get a little annoying to hear about every day.
pointless wins? so your saying the only wins that count are championships then right

Kobe 4

Lebron 0

One could also say the cavs won 13 in a row and only have a 1/2 game lead on the Lakers. See how easy that was and I didn't even have to use the F-word, which is what really gets old from you.
LOL, yeah...because they lost 3 straight....

Oh, and, fuck you. I don't care. Pretty much every word from you is old at this point--and it just after all just a word. Sorry you can't fucking handle it.

He also has one of the worst %'s amongst stars for game winning shots. You chuck enough up there, you're gonna lead. Last time 82games.com updated it he had more than everyone but VC

Again, stats can say all they want.

Of course you're going to miss more than you make, because you're facing elite defenses and it's usually contested jump shots. It makes sense if you think about it.

The fact is, Kobe has hit shots that won championship games, playoff games, division title games, as well as regular season games. He was also the guy everybody deferred to during the Gold Medal Game in 2008 when Spain almost took our chain.

Kobe Bryant is always the one who every NBA player says they want taking the last shot. The other team always knows it's going to be him too. That's what makes it impressive.

I HAVE TO DRAG IT OUT?! LMAO!!!! OMG that is the funniest thing I've heard all day. You followed up by posting half of YouTube. And I'm sorry, but clearly I forgot I'm discussing these things with a fucking tard--it's been no secret that I've said the Lakers have the most stacked roster in the league all season. So clearly I was joking, and it's not like what I said means jack shit anyways LOL, like my words are going to effect their shot making. I didn't get caught in anything, other than a typical Laker fan shit storm. I exaggerated to make my point--which was about how incredibly wide open he was, because that's all I could notice as I watched. I knew the shot was going down before he even left the floor because they decided to go under the screen and not even make a HALF-ASS effort to get out on him. There was no effort, it was more like "let's just hope he misses". Which is stupid. But it's hilarious that I could say the Lakers only got back into the game because of the officials and you ignore that and start shit over something stupid.

You act like hes the only one facing elite defenses and that Bron, Ray Allen, Melo ect all the ones with better %s arent shooting jumpers to win games. They face the same D's and get just as much pressure bc the other teams all know who its going to. Kobes a great clutch player no doubt....But its not like hes a god during crunch time compared to all other players in the NBA

He is in the last 5 secs of a game. Who else would you want to take the last shot of a game down by 1??? Melo? Lebron? D-Wade? Ray Allen? or Kobe???

Not only this, but it's fine to get excited when he hits a game winner. It's a cool thing, obviously. But when it's all we have to hear about and it's happened 15 times in 585 games, it gets old. If you didn't know the stat and you only listened to Laker fans, you'd think he did this every night. I'd personally love to talk about the game, but this is all we hear about from Laker fans.

As I said,

Kobe Bryant has hit shots that won championship games (Melo & LBJ have yet to even win a championship game), playoff games, division titles, as well as regular season games.

I mean, sure, I'd be cool having LeBron James & Melo in my corner (I'd take Melo, personally), but even NBA players agree--if you have the last shot, you want Kobe Bryant taking it.

SI Players NBA Poll: With the game on the line, which NBA player would you want to take the last shot?

Kobe Bryant, Lakers G.....76%
Chauncey Billups, Nuggets G.....3%
LeBron James, Cavaliers F.....3%
Paul Pierce, Celtics F.....3%
Dwyane Wade, Heat G.....2%

SMH @ Earl Smith.

Apparently he doesn't remember Game 2 from 2008.

4th and goal with a second left, down by 6 in a football game. You can pick any player in the history of the NFL to run the ball in for you--who are you going to pick?

Would you pick Emmitt Smith because he has more career TD's than any other NFL back?

Sorry, but NBA players hold more weight than your subjective opinion.

Especially when Kobe Bryant and the Lakers have given your squad the business the last two years in the playoffs. I can see where the hate can come from.

I mean... THE NEXT CLOSEST PERSON HAS 3%!!! That's unbelievable.

The point which should have led to further discussion in my original post was how the FUCK do the Grizzlies leave him that wide open in that situation? They didn't even try to guard him. Also, why is he rarely ever double teamed?

Everything is last year man, doesn't want to talk about games with the Nuggets this year, just like he doesn't want to talk about the games with Cavs.

Just like a lot of the Lakers have sworn off the MVP last year--just like a lot of them flip out when you call LeBron the MVP because it's a new season (well they did until they swore it off because they realized LeBron had it locked before the AS break), but if you remember back to last year they insisted that we refer to Kobe as the MVP all year.

Fuck yea, we gave you the bidness, HB!!!

And the reason I ain't talkin bout this years game is cause--Lakers be on the cruise control til them playoffs.

And is your coach still George Karl? is JR Smith still a maincog in your offense? Don't you guys have the same roster that we beat last year? Lmao. We'll tax that ass come May and George Karl is just going to be like "SMH, SMH" while he leans against the scorers table with a hand in his pocket.
