Your credibility just went down the shitter by using a blogger to back your reasoning. Maybe ESPN should hire him and replace Bill Simmons.

How in the hell can you say Jamison isn't the same player he used to be when he his averages are basically identical right now to his career averages. For a guy thats play this long, his overall production isn't dropping off drastically like some of the other guys.

The logic that the Cavs some how lose some intangible ideal by adding a player who can create his own shot in the low post is flawed to put it mildly. Yeah the Cavs have productive 4's in Hickson and Andy, but neither of those guys can do much beyond flash to the lane and finish at the cup. I really don't see the problem with adding another guy who can create his own shot and can be effective out to the 3 point line.

I love the deal, but the one problem with it is that they may be too deep. Mike Brown is really going to earn his money trying to juggle around his rotation.

The rotation will become set when Z returns. The bench guys outside of Z/AV/West/Moon will only see situational, foul trouble, or injury minutes imo.
Z will have his minutes reduced but may get extra time if Shaq gets into foul trouble. Shaq will have his minutes bumped up. AV will see a slight reduction in minutes.

I wasnt to happy not seeing Gibson or Hickson even touch the floor last night. We are a very deep team and they played 8 guys last night, there is no reason for Hickson to not be playing.

Gibson wasn't in the rotation when all the guards were healthy, he is simply a spot up shooter.

In good news, Z is close to being bought out today. Just a signature away.
He'll be able to return to Cleveland 30 days after the trade was finalized.

I don't care about my credibility. I just voice my opinion...just like this other blogger did.Keebler wrote: Your credibility just went down the shitter by using a blogger to back your reasoning. Maybe ESPN should hire him and replace Bill Simmons.

Jamison does not create his own shot. Secondly, he is a mediocre outside shooter. And thirdly, he is taking away minutes from people that are better all around players.3reppom wrote: The logic that the Cavs some how lose some intangible ideal by adding a player who can create his own shot in the low post is flawed to put it mildly. He is also 33 years old with diminishing skills and is top heavy in price tag department. The trade will only be successful if ......
A. They limit Jamison's minutes, and
B. They somehow get Zadrunis back.

Why? The signature was accurate at the time I wrote it...and I will keep it until I see some real reason to change it.HighRoller74 wrote: You should probably update your Signature.

So the fact that the Cavs are now 1-2 with Jamison in the Lineup doesn't give you a reason to change it?Footwedge wrote:Why? I'm not gonna waste time repeating my research. Use your google button and look up the numbers yourself. Jamison shoots 35% from 18-21 feet and less than 35% from behind the arc. And from what I've seen, post up players eat his lunch on the low block.HighRoller74 wrote:Enlighten me. Who are the better 4's Cleveland has?Footwedge wrote:Jamison does not create his own shot. Again, are you saying the JJ, AV, and Powe are better All-Around players than Jamison?Footwedge wrote:I'm not gonna waste time repeating my research. Right... because doubling up on him in Washington as he's been may have dropped it some, where as getting open looks in Cleveland might actually boost it...Footwedge wrote:That he's a mediocre outside shooter...not an opinion...but a fact.ytownfootball wrote:fixedFootwedge wrote:

AV is a better player than Jamison...and it's a shame that he's losing minutes because of him.HighRoller74 wrote:Again, are you saying the JJ, AV, and Powe are better All-Around players than Jamison?Footwedge wrote:I'm not gonna waste time repeating my research. Much better defensively, better rebounder, better shooter from the field ...and so on. Verejaou shoots 55% compared to Jamison's 44%. Jamison shoots ft at 70% vs V's 66%. that's his only edge.
Use your google button.

Have you watched the first 3 games? Hmmm? I've never seen so many airballs from one player...and without a hand in his face. The man is a liability on the court. After a month or so, you will come to the same conclusion.ytownfootball wrote:Right... because doubling up on him in Washington as he's been may have dropped it some, where as getting open looks in Cleveland might actually boost it...Footwedge wrote:That he's a mediocre outside shooter...not an opinion...but a fact.ytownfootball wrote:fixedFootwedge wrote:

Yeah I've watched. I've seen a guy that played like he just rolled into town. Shocking, I know.
AV better shooter than Jamison? Not so sure I agree with that. Andy shoots the paint, and the paint nearly exclusively.
Just not sure why you're so dead set on this being a bad deal when he's played THREE games. You've stated your opinion, that's fine, quit trying to convince me chief, I won't decide 'till all the pieces have been brought together and worked together for what I deem a sufficient amount of time.
