Creek advanced to 3-0 tonight with a 70-34 victory over Bellaire. Never close, Creek scored 23 in the first quarter and coasted from there. Mixed bench and starters for the second and third quarters and almost all bench in the fourth.

Edison and Creek have had a couple barn burners over the last two seasons. Indian Creek advances to 5-0 with a three point shot at the buzzer by Ty Harris.
Creek has been sleepwalking through their season, it almost caught them in this one, I hope it wakes them up.

Edison was the one sleepwalking the last 5 seconds.
Edison has a bright future with the three main contributors being sophmores.
They as a team should continue to improve.

Edison needs to play better defense. If a girl gets beat on defense, nobody picks her up the dribbler. Thats being lazy.

Creek has not played consistently this season. They have not played as their fans have grown accustomed to seeing them play. They have been finding ways to win, despite not playing well. Their lone loss was at John Marshall, W.Va.. This was a night of miserable shooting and many mistakes, both mental and physical. John Marshal played tenacious defense all night that contributed to Creek's problems.

Last night Creek played Martins Ferry at home. The first half was more of the Creek team just playing well enough to be ahead 21-17 at the half. They came out for the second half on fire and took control of the game in a big way. The final score was 57-24. Creek finally put 2 good quarters of quality basketball together for the first time this season. Hopefully they can start putting everything together consistently, and we will see the team we have grown accustomed to seeing for the past 2 years.

Edison beats the Creek tonight. I guess the Creek girls have been reading too many press clippings.

Congrats to Edison. I had thought that the first meeting Creek took them to lightly. I believed this game would be a Creek blowout. The Edison team is young and look out the next couple of years.
