What happened to Chad Reed? I didnt see his name in the points standings , And how did Stewart get hurt?

What do you think speed, can Villy cathch Dungy? 15 points between them after Jacksonville...........and the lites is very tight. Best year of Supercross in a long time!

I've been away from the computer, the weather is great and I got a Hobie kayak for fishing. It's a hot hobby these days.

Reed was practicing at Daytona while not planning to race, just wanted to test his hand. He was fastest but fell, and last week admitted he re-injured it. He wants to get back asap and get in the way of Villopoto so Dungey can win the title. 15 points is not much of a lead, I hope it boils down to Vegas, the closer the better.
Reed and Stewart both got hurt in a crash at Phoenix. Stewart got landed on by Partridge in the heat, then got hit by Reed in the main. Bubba is out until the outdoor season. He will only run a select schedule then.
Jacksonville was really good, but nothing like the Stewart-Reed race last year. Villopoto's ankle/foot injury looked really bad, but he tuffed it out.

Look at how close Kilbarger was to beating the big crash in Dallas. He went from 1st to worst in two seconds.

He was still limping at Jax. Had a good heat, but bad start in the main again. Just making the main every week is impressive. The lites east has a break now so he can regroup.

I watched Houston yesterday. Villopoto was terrible in practice and his heat, Dungey looked great. The final was opposite that, with RV getting out front and Dungey 3rd, then falling back, stalling his bike, racing back up to finish 5th. Chad Reed finished 4th in his return, between RV and RD is just what Kawasaki wanted. Windham was solid, again on the podium. Ivan Tedesco was 3rd.
Dungey leads RV by 12 points with 4 races left. Reed will ride interference and probably try to crash Dungey.
In the lites, Stroupe dislocated his shoulder in practice at Houston and missed the race, officially handing the east title to Pourcel.

That was to bad for eveyone when Stroup wrecked..........that was a helluva battle this year, hate to see it end that way.

And c'mon speed........you don't think teams would do what your saying do you????????? Reed is rusty so if he wrecks the excuse is already there...........haha.........and by the way, I hope we are both wrong cause Dungy and Villipota have made it a wonderful year to be a fan......let's hope neither gets hurt and it is decided in Vegas!

I know its not the Pros , but a Lorretta Lynn Qualifier is this Saturday at Fast Traxx Motoplex inbetween Athens and Nelsonville on St Rt 33

I'm watching St.Louis now. Reed won his heat. In the main, he was running 6th, Dungey 1st, and Villopoto charged under him in a turn and they both went down together. They got going together as Short (also just returning form injury) caught them. Villo then missed a jump and went down VERY hard. His right leg is serious. Dungey wins the race. Tedesco went down hard in the same jump as Villo, and it was a spot they worked on to make easier after Reed's heat because he went right to the man in charge and told him his concerns. Good for Reed doing that with safety in mind, too bad a couple guys still got hurt. Dungey had no complaint about Villo crashing into him and sent out prayers from his victory interview for Villo. Classy move by Dungey.

edit, just saw Villo broke his leg, tib/fib and surgery to fix. Ivan has a collapsed lung and maybe broken ribs.

Irvine, Calif. - Monster Energy Kawasaki's Ryan Villopoto is recovering after successful surgery to "set and stabilize" his broken right leg. He will likely need an additional surgery when the swelling subsides. The unfortunate injury occurred when Villopoto crashed while leading the St. Louis Supercross event.

"This is heartbreaking for both Ryan and the team," said Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Manager Mike Fisher. "RV was going for the championship and riding really well. It's a shame this happened because Ryan has shown so much resilience this season while trying to attain his first supercross championship. I know Ryan will do everything he can to get back as soon as possible."

Villopoto will remain in the hospital in St. Louis until he is able to travel back to California. He wants to thank all his fans for their thoughts, prayers, and support during this tough time.

I watched Seattle yesterday. I was not expecting much excitement. Then I saw the ruts, they were saying it is the gnarliest track they ever rode. Survival of the fittest. The tall cool one, KEVIN WINDHAM showed 'em how to ride when the going gets tough.

Ive always liked Windham as a racer. My Brother Won his Second Race in a row this Weekend, This was his 3rd race back after taking some time off after our father died last year.

I was pumped that Windham won. I always liked him too, a little more since he won at Daytona in the brown lake 2 years ago. I got to talk with him this year about that a little. He is easy going, and a big Saints football fan.

K Dub is one of the nicest riders on the circuit and I will always cheer for the "old man" still out there. Congrats to Dungy for winning the championship but would have rather watched him and Villy battle it out to LV............is it me or does Reed look super slow??????

What a night in UTAH. Millsaps and Windham won the heats on a slippery wet muddy cold track. In the main, they said it was SNOWING at the starting gate. (I couldn't really see it on tv, but I don't have hi-def). Because of the conditions the main was 15 laps instead of 20. Like last week, when the going gets tough, Kevin Windham wins. That's 2 in a row and a Honda podium as Millsaps and Short were the only riders not named Windham that finished on the lead lap !
