My local HS team hits their FT's better than the Cavs did tonight. TrueBlue hit the nail on the head!!

tomorrow is a new day...wasn't going to last forever. Tough game that the Cavs should've won if they would've made free throws. Hopefully Mo gets some more minutes tomorrow and Twan' can get help get the Cavs back on track

That point is tired and old. Mike Brown IS a good coach but late in games LBJ coaches this team. IF he wants the ball, he is getting it. Regardless of what Mike Brown callls as a play.

Agreed.

Also, if the 1 vs 5 isn't the best option, LeBron could call out a play. There are MANY times when a really good player is allowed to override the coach, just like Billups did at the end of regulation.

Streak was going to end sometime. Fact is, it took the NUGGETS (one of the best teams in the NBA) OT to beat us by 2, without Z, Mo's first game back and right after the break--and we missed 17 FT's. I think we're fine.

43 points.
13 rebounds.
15 assists.
4 blocks.
2 steals.
3 turnovers.

No one else in the league puts up numbers like that, and as far as the LeBron/Kobe debate goes--Kobe never put up numbers like that. What a freak.

Maybe they should go 1 on 5 MORE often.

SQ, Kobe can't put up those numbers, I'll give you that.

But you know what Kobe can do?

Yeah, instead of being an idiot, take it as a compliment. Comparing him to some of the best, and Kobe is one of those guys.

And yeah, it sucks to not get the win. The numbers still go a long way towards a lot of things--history for one, the MVP also. I don't really care that we lost this game, doesn't show anything to me about either team really. The Cavs just got Mo back, both teams are coming off the break and the Cavs aren't playing with Z or Jamison. Plus, like all streaks, it had to end sometime and it took the Nuggest (again, one of the league's best teams) OT to beat us by 2 and we missed 17 FT's. Shit happens.

Yep.

And btw, Carmelo Anthony just claimed the spot as the #3 guy in the NBA.

So what if LeBron puts up those numbers, did they win or lose? Lose....and that is what really matters!

I personally don't think so, but he's definitely one of the best in the league. Give me D-Wade over him any day of the week...and 1 and 2 are clearly locked up for now.

Melo is a damn fine scorer, maybe not able to assist and bound like LBJ but he can score.

Referring to my post I take it?

Melo vs Wade is a very interesting debate.

Tough loss but no big deal.

I thought Mo looked ok in limited action
Looking forward to seeing Jamison tomorrow night and hopefully Powe soon after that.

Yeah.

My point has already been made in this thread, I think it was you who made it actually. At some point Melo has to become THE MAN. He can't take over and finish games like Wade can. I realize he hit a big shot tonight, but one shot doesn't put you over the top. Game winners are overrated in the "clutch" stats anyways. Clutch time isn't just the last 10 seconds of the game, it's the last 4 minutes or overtime--you can put a game away in the last 4 minutes. We've seen LeBron do it countless times. Same with Wade, same with Kobe. They can all hit game winning shots--so can other people, see Cavs/Jazz. But not everyone can light it up down the stretch to put a team away. Melo's got the ability I think, but he isn't on par with those guys at all when it comes to that. I absolutely won't debate that we could rank him #4. There are other guys you could argue for after Wade, but Melo has just as strong an argument as those guys (like Dwight Howard).

Great points dude.

I guess there's a reason Billups is still the guy, Melo needs to speak up soon and take over though. Chauncey can hit big shots with the best of em, but at some point he needs to hand the reigns over to Melo.

43 13 15 and 1...the 1 being number of game winning shots he had hit right in his face. I like it

I remember when Roger Mason hit the GW against the Lakers a while back..

Felt like I was just bent over and someone went all Rampage Jackson on my asshole.

I now feel sorry for all of the teams Kobe beats at the buzzer.
