Yes, but I think they can take loans out on top of that. It's irrelevant anyways, but I'm pretty sure they can.

BJ may have grown up poor but out of the goodness in the hearts he was able to go to Harvest Prep and then to Canal Winchester so someone somewhere gave him a hand up and he was not underfed when he got to OSU. I don't blame him for going pro, I think the NBA needs to make sure these young men do not blow everything they have before they even get dropped from the league. I have a friend who played in the NFL and he has told me stories about high priced rookies who are borrowing against next years pay before their first season is even over. see...Michael Vick
