Ash Wednesday is this Wednesday...for those of you who are religious at all..what are you giving up for lent?

I'm not religious AT ALL, but I always try to give something up being Catholic and all.

This year, I'm going with pop.


Good luck with that UA, it won't be easy!!

trust me i know, ive battled with it before

but during winter break i was able to give it up for a month!!
started back up when i got back to school...its so tempting when your just sitting at your desk studying or reading...

I too had it licked for about six months. Like a tard..I started back up again. Oh..it's just one can I said. Yeah..that was a bad idea.

I'm not Catholic so I don't observe Lent but I love the plethora of fish fry's held by churches, Legions, VFWs, etc on Friday's for the next 40 days.

You can do it if you really want to. I chewed copenhagen literally all day long... every day for over twenty years. I have given up a lot of bad habits in my life, but nothing was as hard as quitting copenhagen. I miss it every single day (been clean since Dec 2001), but I just decided I did not want anything to control me that much. This is exactly the kind of challenge that you are supposed to accept... to test and appreciate your faith. Best wishes.

Now since I eat food, drink diet cola (occasionally adult beverages)all day long... I need to follow a restructured eating program. LOL

I don't have a 'loyalty' to anything..just whatever is cheapest. Lol..well..not that cheap..around the $2.50 range..normally Timberwolf. I'll get some Skoal or Cope if it's on sale.
