I dislike organized religion (as in, I have no issues with the parables and good deeds people do in the name of their deity of choice, but think it's a crock of shit to turn it into an tax-exempt entity that collects tithes from its patrons, as people could do more good to give their "10%" to a worthwhile cause). Thoughts like that would have gotten me persecuted as a heretic back in the day, so when I rejoined the old place in '08, instead of "overdrive" (which I satirically named myself originally in homage to Maximum Overdrive -- greatest cheesy horror flick of all time!), I went with it.

From a football cheer we used to do (and my HS still does today) when I played.

Buckeye - Duh
Blue - Went to Marion Local High School and wanted to incorporate that as well. Thought it had a better ring than other possible combinations.

Abbreviation of my personal email address. I have had the same email address forever, the4ringz from back in the day when the Steelers only had four Super Bowl rings.

Used it on the OP a LONG time ago, and actually cared about my anonymity. People started to find out who I was, so I changed it to mo_sizlak. After the whole sobriety thing, I went back to ernest_t_bass. Stuck with it over here.

Growing up, when dad would watch Andy Griffith, Ernest T. Bass was always my favorite character.

Baseball is my favorite sport. I don't play, but I love to watch baseball. The straight steal of home is the most exciting play in baseball and the toughest play to pull off. IMHO

In Middle School, my ears were bigger than my head practically. Was told I looked like a Keebler elf. Stuck since then. I grew into my ears BTW.

Imagine that! :D

My name came from several years ago when I started posting on the Wooster Daily Record forum under some other name like Red Rider Fan. I kept railing on the Wooster Generals and just posting sports type stuff and this one guy said that I was a Boring Rider Fan.

So...........I said, "I like it"........thanks.

BRF....................and the rest is history.

I am now known throughout the 48 states. I can walk into a bar and someone will know who I am.

I carried the name over to this site.

1. because that's who I'm known as and I didn't want to change it

and

2. because I snatched it before any of my few detractors could take it! :P
Here I also thought it came from:
