They are sweet. Just got one today. The only bad thing is they only have #2 so no variety of numbers.

I'd probably be more excited about the jerseys if they didn't try to pass them off as a tribute the the '54 National Champs.

Well to be fair they do look similar to the '54 team.
It's not like they could honestly expect a team to wear Jerseys with long sleeves like they did in the day, so this is a modern take on the classic theme. Color pattern seems to match up as well.

UM probably isn't wearing retroy - don't think they would want to participate in honoring our '54 National Team.

Terrible. Just a complete bastardization. If you are going to make a throwback, make a throwback. Don't create some silly off the wall uniform that doesn't even really look like the old one, and call it a throwback.

This is one of 12 alternate uni's that Nike made for various universities. That's why I'm so disgusted that OSU is trying to pass this off as a "throwback." I'd be much more supportive if they'd just say, "Nike came to us with an idea to make both us and them a lot of money."

Ok, let's get this straight. OSU agreed to do this because Nike came to them with an idea, but it's likely that they decided they couldn't do it just for the sake of doing it, so they asked Nike to make a modern interpretation of the 1954 jersey, and I think that they did a pretty decent job of that. The only thing that bothers me is the numbers on the helmet because those weren't added until 1956.

^ I agree, I would dismiss the number helmet error and would be happy with their "interpretation" if they put the stripes on the top of the shoulders, and did the rest of the jersey more accuratly. The jersey just bothers me to no end.

the gloves
the "O" on the pants
things I don't like
the Number on the helmet, that's alabama's thing
black outline of the "O" on the pants and the stripes on the jersey.
Great job and unlike the traditionalists on here and gaygay, I welcome change, if only this once.

As a UM fan, I think the new unis are pretty damn cool. I think people shouldn't get their panties in a bundle about something like this.
