This could be the closest tournament in years for the CCL. Who is tough at each weight class. St. Charles has four possible champs in Colvin 119, Latz 135, Dejaco 152, Mackessey 160.

Is Wilson still wrestling...thought I read he was injured OR is it just another one of those "internet rumors"??

Watterson. Or Watterson?

St. Charles, Ready and Hartley are all solid. If we can make Watkins a reality (Friday wrestling) I hope to head up there after practice.

Bitter...you game???

Don't know for sure....he's been at 171 for the majority of the year, but read that he had recently certified at 160

Pure guess work on my part but I have the following
Hartley 4 1st, St. Charles 4 1st, Desales 2 1st (without Wilson), Ready 2 1st, Watterson 1 1st
Hartley 4 2nd, Desales 4 2nd, Ready 4 2nd, St. Charles 2 2nd
Desales 5 3rd, St Charles 5 3rd, Hartley 3 3rd, ready 2 3rd

Thats as far as I can go and of course people can figure their own ideas but at 16 pts for 1st,12 for 2nd and 7 for third it looks close.
Hartley 133, St. Charles 123, Desales 122, Ready 101

Next year, Ready gets Ben Burt off the IR, in addition to some strong freshmen coming in.

Desales will also have Lee Wilson Jr back next year at CCLs.

Nice showing for ready! Also like to say that Hunter Maynard from Watterson was on the mats for about a whole 2 minutes of the whole tournament! Carry that over into tournament time! I thought Maccessay from St. Charles was supposed to be the real deal!?!

Mackessey is a good wrestler wrestling a good Hartley wrestler (Zang) who got sucked back on a sitout in a 3-2 match and pinned. It happens, and time will tell quickly what happens to these two as they enter sectionals. John is a good wrestler and we will see what he does in the next few weeks.

Congratulations to all CCL Champs.
I think think that the tournament could move in to the new millenium and maybe change the format from a bracket to a pool, or round robin for the weights that are not filled. None the less I nominate Bishop Ready's own Mike Hall, for all time CCL tournament director.......
