During the days when Jim Brown and Leroy Kelly were tearing up the field, when Brian Sipe was leading the Kardiac Kids to nail biting victory after nail biting victory, when Hanford Dixon-Bernie Kosar & Co. were terrorizing the NFL hood, and when slimeball Art Modell was threatening to move the Browns if Cleveland ddn't build him a new stadium I was also one of the misguided "wait till next year minions."

I enjoyed watching the Brownies destroy the competition in the regular season only to have my hopes dashed in an instant in the post-season because of "The Drive", "The Fumble", or "The Endzone Interception". Man I miss that heartache!

Then that slimy douche bag Modell followed through on his promise in the dead of the night. I watched in horror as the talent that was my beloved Browns became the Baltimore Ravens. And then I was shocked at all the fair-weather Browns fans who jumped ship for the Eeeeeevil Empire known as the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Lo, in the passing of time came the shiny NEW Browns Stadium (go figure) and the Expansion Browns. They looked very much like the old Browns, had the same name, wore the same uniforms, and allegedly kept the history....but these impostors are NOT the Browns of yore.

Yet there remains a small band of Expansion Browns fans...the youngsters who are too young or born after the Modell Malaise that cling to the notion that the Browns clones will somehow, some way make it to the Super Bowl in 2011.

Keep clinging to those dreams. I know I did for 40+ seasons...but no more. Still it's heartwarming to see that the suffering has been passed on to a new breed of the Delusional Dreamers!

Chelsea will win it all. Give me Drogba all day.

As for the Champs league... I'm not even sure Barca is better this year than last year... And they'll probably cruise.
There should be no Lakers fans in Ohio.. Suck a cock.

See you later, quitter. When the Browns do win the Super Bowl, don't come back.

That better be a nuclear clock, otherwise it'll take a lot of batteries to run it till the Browns win anything.

+1

I've been a Browns fan longer than most have been alive on this forum. I also remember the days of Leroy Kelly, Brian Sipe, and Bernie Kosar. And I would never quit on my hopes of this team returning to those days. Any true Browns fan never would. Call me delusional all you want, but every year I have hopes of this team returning to it's former elite days.

Since you and I must be roughly the some age, the day the Browns play in the Super Bowl (let alone win it) we'll be watching the game on a giant HD flat screen in the afterlife. lol :P
