Game will be played in Fremont at Don Paul Stadium on Friday night.

Hopefully the Knights continue to play hard and with a lot of heart against the very fast Mustangs from Maple Heights.

Thoughts?

GO KNIGHTS!!!

I saw Maple Heights last week vs. TCC and they are not to be taken lightly...Quick, fast and great size. Their special teams are lacking but they can really stretch the field. Ransom, Stubbs and Washington are special...I'll take the Mustangs in this one.

No doubt the Knights are going to be the underdog despite the seedings. I thought the coaching staff played a good role in St. Francis's victory last week. They'll have to make some more great adjustments if they want to win this one as well.

I hope St. Francis brings more fans this week. Last week they brought a decent amount but it's pretty deep in the playoffs now there's no excuse as to why it shouldn't be packed like sardines Friday.

From what I saw of the Maple Heights fan base at Rogers I will be shocked if they bring 500 fans to Fremont.

SFS will definitely have their hands full with the speed of Maple Heights. I'm sure the Knights coaching staff will come up with a game plan to try and slow the Mustangs down. They look very fast on TV so I am anxious to see how quick they are in person.

I have seen both teams play this season. I caught Maple Heights at Rogers in Week One of the playoffs. There is no doubt St. Francis will most defintely have their hands full. Maple Heights has the kind of speed that almost made Rogers look like they were wearing cement shoes, and that is not easy to do. I can only imagine what the are going to look like on a turfed field. They have several skill people who can score from anywhere and good luck trying to get a bead on their QB. Also just in case you think they are just speed, I left the game impressed with their O-line play...it was more than solid. However, the thing I was most impressed with was the fact they had few penalties and I can only recall one turnover which was an interception thrown in Rogers endzone with just seconds left in theFirst Half.

Just caught some of the Maple Heights/Central game on BCSN. Central did a nice job in the second half of not allowing Washington to break a lot of big runs. He did throw the pick which was a great play by the DB from Central but SFS will still have a lot to handle. Central seemed to have success bringing pressure and getting to the QB but missed a few tackles and a few chances on offense.

Take it from someone that has seen them in person, they are very fast on offense and defense! They can be beat if the opportunites are utilized. If you make mistakes they are gonna make you pay for it. St. Francis will have to establish a run game or they will have no chance at this. This game will either be very close or a blow out if that makes any sense lol

Central played them tough and was able to score, the Knights were not able to even get a field goal on Central, what does that tell you? I look for this Maple Heights team to embarrass the Knights like 40 something to nothing. I hate to say it because I am a TCLfan but St Francis is really not all that good. I just hope we don't get beat by more then 40 points, that will be hard to take. Good Luck Knights!

The Knights may struggle to score, but I cannot see them giving up 40 points to anybody. At least, I hope not. They represent the last of the Toledo area's once promising contingent of playoff contenders.

You're right, St Francis went 10-1, beat Whitmer but because they got shut out against Central in the rain they are not all that good?

One blown coverage on a deep corner pass, aided by 30 consecutive yards of penalties on the drive, and one field goal with less than 2 mins remaining because of a blown snap on a punt (and the SFS defense keeps them out of the end zone with first and goal at the end of the game) and everyone thinks SFS was blown out by CCHS or because of that 10-0 loss, SFS is somehow less of a team. They are two plays from being undefeated. TCLfan - must be incredibly arrogant or ignorant of you to say they aren't very good - when they are the only team left playing - and the only team that beat Whitmer this year. As for TolCentralCath - you must have some piece of corn cob up your a$$ to root against your own league, but wouldn't expect anything different from some of the CCHS fans I've seen on many boards. Root against your own league - what a piece of work!

Central scored in the rain, did they not? or did it only rain on St Francis side of the field? The Blade said today that Whitmer rushed for over 280 yards in that game, that is not a very good D that allows that. What do you think Maple Heights will rush for tonight, God only knows. I hope the Knights prove me wrong and win big but I just don't see it. Good luck Knights I think your going to need it.:s

Maple Heights 20-7 at half time, Knights cannot contain their speed, it looks like the blowout is underway and as I stated, I look for 40 something to be put on the board aginst the Knight Defense.:)

Knights made it interesting late but just not enough. Maple is very fast but SFS really controlled the game in the first half.

The punt return turned everything and it should not have counted after the refs missed a very obvious block in the back. Also missed two straight false starts where maple scored right before the half which really hurt the Knights. Not to say Maple may not have scored anyways but those plays really turned the momentum.

Great season Knights after being picked to finish 5th in the city and go all the way to the regional final! Great job seniors for a tremendous effort and for never quitting, even tonight.

St. Francis simply dominated the 1st quarter. But St. Francis lost the momentum and game when they elected to not kick the FG up 7-0. From that point on Maple Heights steamrolled them.

To me Maple Heights seemed to lack a ton of discipline but they made up for it in pure athletic talent. If/when they run into a team who can throw the ball I think their style of play will catch up with them. I can see why a fan I talked to a few weeks ago called them the other Glenville. From what I've heard, their QB is a transfer from there. Their fan support is pitifull though. Maybe 150 fans there from MH?
