a room with books??? haha haha.....sorry,sjm-I couldn't resist
all kidding aside, it's a beautiful setting. I've been to four games there, and it seems to get nicer every time. Yes, I'm a Buckeye fan, but I really enjoy football Saturdays in South Bend--you've got to go if you have the chance.

See vball for every sleeper-esque thing you say, then you dish out some actual information. Make up your mind, are you a troll or not?

I like to keep you guessing, Forrest haha ...and it really must have been bugging you since you typed the same post almost exactly an hour apart...very odd.
and sleeper-esque? please show me where I ever, and I mean EVER, disrespected ND. I may slam their fans, but not the team or the school.
btw, a troll? talk about irony!!! LOL

Not the library, vball said bookstore. The Hammes bookstore is where they sell a lot of ND merchandise...hats, shirts, pictures, all that kind of stuff. It is usually packed and they have the lines for the registers winding throughout the rows of books covering the whole store. Just a long wait especially if there is other stuff you want to see. The Hesburgh Library is the building that the Touchdown Jesus mural is on. No real need to go in there on gameday except to relieve your bladder.sjmvsfscs08;464270 wrote:What's with the library?

So if an ND only slammed OSU fans....and not the OSU team......they wouldn't be considered a troll?

You want to contribute to this shit and muck up the board-go for it.vball10set;464763 wrote:I was responding to be called "sleeper-esque" when making that comment, not trolling-try and keep up....and you wonder why some ND fans get slammed
Fact of the matter is....sleeper rips ND fans too.....even when it's not warranted. Trolling is trolling....whether toward fans, players, coaches, etc.

contribute to what shit? did you even read what I posted?? contrary to what you may think, I came on this thread to catch up on a team I follow (yes, I do follow Notre Dame), and then offered what I thought were complimentary suggestions to a poster who was considering attending an Irish game for the first time. Please, don't start shit where shit doesn't need to be started-save your vitriol for the season.

What shit? Well, the ND-OSU pissing matches that are eyesores on so many threads on this board. I mean, you can't have an ND or OSU thread.....hell, even a Butch Davis/UNC thread without one breaking out. And I know it's people from both fan bases that start it. I guess, you're either part of the solution or part of the problem.
I know what you "entered the thread to do" but it doesn't take much to get you off track. You're better than that, I think. If we have the good posters on here getting into this "shit" in addition to the sleeper-types.....this board is gonna be as bad as JJ's college one was. Do you want that? I don't.
As far as my vitriol....yeah, because that's what I do, right? LOL. Okay. I think you know that's not my M.O.

I don't know if it is or isn't, but I guess I was surprised that you jumped into the conversation (ie on me) between me and another poster, when it really had nothing to do with the "shit" you're describing. I know what you're saying, and you're right-we can't let the few ruin this site as it did the other.

To get this back on track, EJ Banks is back with the team but is paying his own way. He can practice with the team but is not eligible to compete on gamedays. Good sign that he wants to stick around and make things right.

Fair enough. But I think you know, or should know based on my past posts, that spewing "vitriol" is not my M.O. I think it's pretty obvious. And the pissing matches, regardless of how they start or what they're about.....are eyesores.vball10set;465098 wrote:I don't know if it is or isn't, but I guess I was surprised that you jumped into the conversation (ie on me) between me and another poster, when it really had nothing to do with the "shit" you're describing. But we definitely agree on what we hope this board is this Fall. The season is only a few short days away! THAT is great news!

Depth chart was released for Purdue. Danny Spond is the #2 MLB behind Te'o, Prince Shembo #2 OLB behind Darius Fleming (no Brian Smith), Tommy Rees won the #2 QB job, Braxston Cave will start over Wenger at center and Armando Allen is the #1 punt returner.
Edit: Smith is listed as the #2 at the other OLB spot behind Kerry Neal. Carlo Calabrese will start next to Te'o at ILB.

Brian Smith not starting is interesting. Not that he was great, but he was considered a vocal leader and veteran on the defense. Hell, I think he was in NBC's Notre Dame football promo commercial. TJ Jones starting over Kumara is another intersting one. Glad to see Kelly is putting the best talent on the field, regardless of age and resume.

Neal has had a great camp from all accounts. It appears that Smith is still busting his butt and hasn't let the "demotion" get him down. Hopefully Kumara doesn't go in the tank, as I think he would be the more likely of the two to let it ruin his senior year.

I wouldn't say that. Evans got passed on the depth chart by a freshman and a couple sophomores after not really seeing much time over his first 2 years. He is a veteran in terms of time with the team only, not in playing time. He saw the writing on the wall and asked for his release so he could transfer. He does have talent and will find a place to play and I hope he does well.

Or make a team stronger/closer since a disgruntled player is gone.

If he transfers to a school that hasn't started class yet he can play in 2011. Oregon? UCLA? Ohio State?
