True but Bush's contribution to the collapse was the bizarre tendency to cut taxes (good thing) and couple it with massive government spending (very bad thing).

As I recall the collapse also had several of other major causes including the sub-prime mortgage debacle which had the fingerprints of PLENTY of other politicians all over it (primarily Dems) not-to-mention typical Wall Street greed and speculation to sweeten the pot.

Yeah... we all know how many dems work on wall street. :)

But tax cuts are not good unless the are offset by spending cuts somewhere else. Without spending cuts, tax cuts are spending (although it is the taxpayer rather than the Government directing where the money is spent)

Without the unlikely event of getting spending under control, the revenue side is of little consequence on way or the other.
