Seeing that they have made movies of video games, ranging from Mortal Kombat to Doom, I randomly thought to myself ... would "Legenda of Zelda" be a good movie?

Maybe make Scarlet Johansen the princess, slap a loose fitting top on her with jewels and let the twins breathe ... Maybe James Gandolfini as Gannon?

Link is a toughie ... he has to carry the movie, but he is kindof a little dude in the game. Orlando Bloom? Kindof wussy, but he had his moments in "Lord of the Rings." Edward Norton?

Yes, random I know ... I was on a Zelda quiz on sporcle.com when I thought of this ...

Edward Norton is much, much too badass to play Link.

Zelda was terrible.

I figure it can't be any worse than the Super Mario Bros. movie made in the 80s. I didn't even realize this thing was in existance until my friend ordered it off of Amazon last week. Now there was 90-something minutes I wish I could have back in my life.

I think it would work if they can nail the right cast for it.

I wonder if Link couldn't be played by a girl? Much like Peter Pan is often played by women...

I think they could turn it into something cool with enough CGI...I think a lot of people would go just because of nintendo and if they snuck in enough cheesy love stuff in the trailer dude's gfs would want to go and that is the key IMO.

Perhaps...if you took doses from a number of Zelda games (particularly Link to the Past and Ocarina of Time) to give it some aspect of a plot beyond Link saving Zelda from Ganon.

At least that way, you have a chance of it being more than a paper-thin plot surrounded by a shitload of computer-generated graphics. A slim chance, but still a chance.

No, the games don't even have dialogue for Link. So would the script be subtitled with Link only saying "..."
