Team might be sold.

Will their next home be the new Consol Energy Center?

Doubt it.

Pistons won't be moving anywhere. Could very well be sold but it is high unlikely they will ever move out of Detroit as they are having a down year and are still top 10 in the league in attendance.

I don't want to have to start hating the Pistons, so I hope they aren't coming to Shitsburgh....

Is this a joke or has the idea of the Pacers moving from Indy been talked about before?

I could never see Pittsburgh supporting a NBA team. It is a hockey town during that time of the year.

Their revenue is just one of the worst in the NBA. I'm on the "wants an NBA team in Columbus" bandwagon. I don't think they are going to expand soon, so having a team relocate here is probably the only option.

Excatly. They support the Panthers basketball team but, Pittsburgh will never get behind a pro backetball team.

Do you think it will be any different in Columbus? I would like a team in Cbus but don't think there would be enough support to make a difference.

I think the NBA would do better than the NHL, stars coming into town by the week, fanfare, more publicity. It would work.

Yea, but Detroit is actually called Hockeytown and the Pistons are still popular there.

I just can't see Pittsburgh getting behind a NBA team.

detroit needs a new arena close to comerica for the pistons and wings.

columbus and pittsburgh wouldn't stand a chance to get an nba team.

Agreed on both parts. I hate that the Palace isn't even in Detroit.

And Columbus won't be getting an NBA team.

Cincy has a better chance. (natural rival with Cleveland)

I'm with you. NHL is much better to watch over the NBA. NBA is a bunch of streetball now, the days of Jordan, Bird and Magic are over. It was fun to watch then, although I do enjoy watching Lebron, he's not a streetballer, he's a basketball player.

Well, you don't really have to know.

Seeing as how the revenue, attendance, and overall $$ is better for the NBA than the NHL, I have facts behind my claims.

Besides, what major network carries the NHL? Vs.?

You must not watch ANY NBA then. A lot of great players to watch and the game is reaching the point it was once at when Jordan and Bird and Magic were playing.

LeBron, Kobe, Wade, Melo, CP3, Deron Williams, etc... A lot of great players to watch now. Every team has a legit player.

You seem to confuse opinions with facts. Yes, the NBA does bring in more revenue and is more popular, but in some people's opinions the NHL>>>>NBA.

I've tried to watch the NBA but, it's pretty boring to watch. Without ESPN the NHL doesn't get that much coverage which I'm all right with. When you look at pure skill and what it takes to be a NHL player it blows the water out of the NBA. Anybody can dribble a basketball but, it's a lot harder to do things on skates.

Another thing, I cant stand watching the Sportscenter top 10 because all it's is dunks (same with baseball in the summer with diving catches)

Highlights from the best two players in the world (They impress me more than someone who is 6'8 and dunks)

agreed.

the general rule in the NBA seems to be one team per state. Only 3 states have multiple teams and all 3 are in the top 4 in population
