Just seems there are more and more retarted threads open. Many might suggest this, even? Im all about a good debate or livley discussion. This Serious section used to be fun, but now it seems to be how many silly threads can 1 person have opened at once!!

Seems that way. Too many threads made by Mtrulz (not getting in that discussion) that are dumb.

yep....I know September 63's "Do You Have Any Tatoos" was thought-provoking Pulitzer-prize winning commentary. We just don't get enough of that.

You seem in particular to take the section name to heart.

I honestly think that Fan_from_Texas' "Top Posters" numbers have a little to do with it. Just a hunch. Hell, I ain't gonna lie. I created one because of it. I failed though.

The almost unlimited freedom here is the best and worst thing about this site. You have to admit that on the "other" site most of these dumb threads would have been closed. Don't get me wrong, I still think that overall this place is better than the other site, but this place definitely has a lot more stupid threads. Also, the fact that all pro sports threads are in their own forum allows for dumb threads to stay near the top longer.

old advice...if you don't like the thread...don't click on it.
that said...you are spot on. Anything goes on here and it isn't always good. Some stuff is incredibly juvenile. Trolls can piss over evrything. There is no penalty for being rude, disrespectful, excessively obscene or vulgar...and if you dare complain, the "internet is serious business" posse is ready with their stock pictures and commentary questioning your sense of humor.

After a whilke, you catch on and learn who/what is worth responding to. It is what it is.

I honestly think the seperating of the different forum topics kind of brings down the site. Let the pro sports section be used for the serious business thread, and keep one forum for college sports. This site doesn't have enough traffic to maintain seperate forums for each sport

Why don't people who complain about not having any good threads to post on start some good threads? Problem solved.

Or just become more easily amused. I could spend all day posting about the sex robot...and would if not for having a work deadline in about three hours, which will be followed by a nap that will eat up the entire afternoon. And I think I'll be playing some Fire Emblem this evening or going out drinking, depending on how ambitious I feel after waking up...which means I guess I won't be spending all day posting about the sex robot.
