Ok I'm here, I didn't have a chance to get on before now because I had to run to the store for some exlax. Orvillian, you could have defeathered or declawed some of the crow. Long story short, last night wasn't the only painful exit I had to endure. :D But I'll take it because Genoa lost, even though I never said anything about Genoa being far superior or anything like that. But, crow nonetheless.

As for the game, plain and simple, you cannot turn the ball over three times, give up big play after big play on 3rd down, make it to the red zone three times and come up empty twice in the second quarter, and let Orrville's defense hold your quarterback to 11 of 23 passing and expect to win. Regardless of what you think of the referees, Genoa hurt themselves more. Orrville came in, punched Genoa in the mouth and it took them until the mid 3rd quarter to get off the mat.

I am sad to see this year's senior class to go. They are not the ones who ran their mouths week after week online, boasting how big they win games, they instead did their talking on the field and for eleven weeks, that was louder than any of Genoa's fans' most outlandish comments. These 11 athletes played hard for their fans I surely hope it pays off for them in the future. It was hard seeing every one of them walking off the field for the last time Saturday night. I just want to thank them for giving me something to look forward to every week for the past three months. It was a great ride, I enjoyed every moment of it, and I was glad to be a part of it.

I am very proud of every player on this team and wouldn't change any one of them. They are a great bunch and I hope they saw last night as a learning experience that you have to bring your best game every week or your dream could come to a painful end.

Good luck Orrville next week against Ottawa Glandorf, they are a good team that will not give up until the last whistle.

Yea you're right...the refs should just let 'em play and allow the Genoa linemen to drag our LB's down by the back of their neck.

Would you like help drawing up the official complaint?

Give me a break.

Apparently #30 was looking for his balls several times last night, and it's amazing how Genoa ( #30 )just intentionally fumbled to us as if hard hitting didn't make that happen. Good hard hitting defense causes turnovers, not standing around and waiting for mistakes.

Riders1 - There was definately hitting by both teams! It was a great game! Hoobler had 50 tackles but Greg had 170 yrds, 3 TDs on 28 carries. Both had good games!

I rember back on the huddle not to be named, a genoa fan said after their week 11 win they announced that Genoa would be playing Orrville. Supposely Genao fans said ORRVILLE WHO? Genoa knows who Orrville is now......LOL

Spectacular game... Would of loved tobeen in genoas locker room @ half....down 26-8....

Another thing, you gotta believe 90% of Genoa had to change their brithches at half after done crapping themselves....

For a team that's only been to the playoffs a couple of times, with no state titles at all, to talk that much smack? Unbelievable. Orrville wasn't fazed by the "hype" of Genoa. They've seen and beat way better teams in their storied playoff runs.

That's the thing about tradition...people say it's in the past and doesnt matter...but how many of our coaches played on great teams, how many of our kids have older brothers who played? How many kids have parents who played on great Orrville teams? To say it doesnt matter is to ignore the fact that the tradition has been passed down to this generation.

They are told about winning and working hard firsthand. They remember seeing our great teams of the past when they were small, they know the pride of wearing the red and white.

That's what tradition is all about. Ask anyone from Ironton or Steubenville or Coldwater or any of the great schools in the state.

Congrats goes out to Orrville.
A win is a win no matter what. Genoa got beat by two teams Saturday night, you won. I don't care about all the crap talk. I never once said Genoa would win by 3 touchdowns. I said it would be a close game. That's all. I don't have any crow to eat for being boisterous or unclassy.
Saturday night was an awesome football game.
...and the outcome would've been different if the team I was rooting for would've been present for both halves of football.
That's why they play the game though because you just never know.

Since I am a nice guy deep down on the inside I would first like to say this because it is exactly what I said to all the Orrville players that I saw on their way back to the locker room:
"Great game, keep going, keep fighting....win it all!"
...that goes for all the kids that left their guts out on the field Saturday night fighting for their lives to stay ahead of Genoa.

To SOME of the fans on here I would say the same thing.

To SOME of your other fans I would like to say things that the good part of me won't allow the bad part to say.

How about #5 running out of bounds on his one touchdown in the first half? Not saying it won or lost the game for either team but COME ON! How do you miss that as an official?

He was forced out of bounds which is allowed by rule as long as the player comes right back in bounds

Come on guys....save your "rules," we cheated and should be stripped of the win.

Rev up your RV's Genoa...you're back in.

gr8fan, welcome. All we need is BRF and 5knots, and it's like old times.
