Why couldnt OSU land a single 5 * player from their own back yard?
L Anderson committed to WVU
S Ware committed to LSU
J Hicks committed to Texas

Dont worry, Im down and out too. LSU has lost 3 top 100 commits lately who were originally committed to LSU. Looks like Texas and Florida are getting everyone.

I'd be willing to bet they end up with one or more of the three best college players in the class (who as just as likely to be 2- and 3-star rated as 5-star).

Hicks isn't a true Ohioian, he doesn't understand what it means to be a buckeye
Ware... I don't think OSU ever really wanted this kid, I'll personally take Roderick Smith over him anyway, and also Ware just became a 5* after the US army game
And as for Anderson, I don't think he qualified and even if he did, he was someone who might have struggled to stay quaified, hence the reason he chose WVU, where as long as you can spell BEER, you are good

Not trying to take anything away from any of these kids, but like I stated before they just weren't Buckeye material. Hicks could have been, but he wasn't born here and didn't care for the Bucks like most Ohio high schoolers do

It's not because he's an SEC fan though.

Here is how I heard it:

Hicks lived in Texas for a time and was a huge Texas fan.

Ware wanted to play baseball and LSU allowed that. (baseball better in the south)

Anderson-Grade issues.

He's at least going out for the team...that much is confirmed.

Link?

This is what I found on a site Im on. It says he might go out and someone from his school is on the team. Now......Zach Lee, a QB recruit lsu got, he will be getting drafted soon, might not even play a down of college football.

Ware will be a tailback at LSU. The Tigers are one of the few schools that actually deploy a true tailback, their top three RB's this year all played at 220 and above.

First off that is Ware's traveling baseball teams hat. Just to be fair.

Secondly OSU did get Jamel Turner who was a 5* before he hit some issues in school. Andrew Norwell was also a 5* before he got into injury issues.

As people said before:

Hicks: grew up in Texas only half Ohio kid.
Anderson: Couldn't make the cut, commited to WV and is now begging to get into tOSU from what I have read.
Ware: He is going to play baseball if he is smart. He is very good and LSU is the place to be for him to develop in that sport.

Because the program is terrible and no one in their right mind would want to play for them.

There, I'm sure that's the answer you've been wanting to hear. Happy?

Since this is one of the worst years in terms of top talent in Ohio I am not too upset.

The reasons have been explained.
