David Lighty, how nice of you to join the team on the offensive side for a change. Maybe you can stick around for a while this time? That'd be nice.

Buford has to hit that wide open 3.

That would have been a big shot Buford. Need to get the tie or lead here.

That's one thing I disagree with you with. I think Lighty's offense has been much improved this year. He's a much better outside shooter. He isn't a stud, but for a 3rd or 4th option he's definitely solid.charliehustle14 wrote: David Lighty, how nice of you to join the team on the offensive side for a change. Lighty scores.
Ball don't lie Buford, you traveled and therefore got swatted.

Why would you ever try a warm-up line style layup on Lauderdale?
Rookie mistake.

Misses too many bunnies and lay ups for my liking. I don't expect him to score 16 a night, but do expect him to convert the easy ones. He killed me against WVU...2-7 from the floor and misfired on 3 shots right around the rim that were 'gimmes.'Mulva wrote:That's one thing I disagree with you with. Agree. But he disappears too often and isn't aggressive enough consistanty.Mulva wrote:That's one thing I disagree with you with. I think Lighty's offense has been much improved this year. Lickliter hasn't recruited worse than any other bottom tier BCS conference school. However wasn't this pretty much known when they got him from Butler? Part of coaching is having talent to make you look like a good coach. I guess he can sort of get a pass for losing some players the last few years, but still.

Yeah, he does lack that agressiveness and confidence that you need from a veteran like him. Tonight, the confidence is boiling over but in recent games, he's played tentative.centralbucksfan wrote:Agree. Man, Iowa throws some lazy ass passes. Really surprised Turner and/or Buford haven't jumped into a passing lane and picked one off tonight.

Lickliter has tried to bring the mid-major style to the Big 10.
It's too physical and talented of a conference to load up a team with a bunch of scrappy non-athletes and launch 3s all day.

Right when I mention something about Turner not picking some of Iowa's lazy passes off...he does and slams it home.

Not a great win, but it's a Big 10 road win nonetheless
