Credit to USC and Darrin Horn. As closely as I follow SEC basketball, I did NOT believe this team could beat UK. I honestly didn't think they could do it. Devan Downey is amazing. Props.

Every time the #1 ranked team is in a tight game and someone starts a thread about it, they end up winning by like 20.
How did that work out for ya?

Devan Downey has been great since day 1 at Cinci. He has had blow-out games like this his whole career. Its actually a shame it takes playing #1 ranked UK for him to finally get his props nationally. Kid is a flat out baller and always has been. Great game tonight, thats why I love college bball! I dodnt give 2 shits about that game, yet I ended it on the edge of my couch cheering like crazy!

So true. Devan now has 2,052 points in his career. You don't get to that mark at 5'9 unless you are a true baller.

Time for Kansas to go back to #1 where they belong.

Look I don't really like Cal either. But you have to give it up. The man CAN coach his ass off.
The man can recruit his ass off. As a coach, thats very debatable. He has had as much talent as anyone in the country consistantly the past 5/6 yrs. Not saying he is a bad coach by any means. He can obviously coach. But he gets MORE credit, and more PR then any coach in recent memory...and this without EVER winning a title, and "cheating" to get his two final fours. And anything less then a final four/national title this year, with the talent he has yet again...will be considered a HUGE disappointment/underachievement.

Downey is my pick, up to this point, for SEC player of the year, with Wall currently close behind him.

I think expectations are a trip to the Final 4, but even if Kentucky loses in the 2nd round (which is highly unlikely) I think Kentucky fans would be happy based on the fact of where they were prior to Calipari. So, I don't think you can say it would be a "HUGE disappointment".

But in time, the Kentucky fans will expect a Final 4 every single year because of the way Calipari can recruit.

I'd definitely be willing to say with this talent, a Final Four is expected this year. Cal will never say it, but my hunch says he believes that as well. Next year we will really see how good of a coach he is.

That's retarded.

UK doesn't go to the Final Four, it's a disappointment.
