No joke, I'm a huge Cavs fan but the Raptors are tuff this year. They could be a handful if they make it to the playoffs, they can cause a lot of matchup problems and when they're on from outside, they're hard to beat.

If what happens? 27/16/9?

I'll take my chances as a Cavs fan with that then..

What I was saying before was that if Kobe has that line every night AND everyone else shows up like they were earlier in this game(not towards the end), the Lakers will repeat.

The whole key to the Lakers is Odom...just like last year. They are a nightmare if he is playing well. Honestly, the one thing that is concerning if I was a Laker fan is that Ron Artest looks like a shadow of his former self. Right now, I would rather have Ariza than him....and I didn't think that before the season.

Thats probably the most Kobe has fillled up the stat sheet ever. He still shot under 50% though.

It doesn't quite seem like Ron Ron has filled that role as brilliantly as Trevor Ariza did. Still a long way to go though, so we don't know what may happen between the contenders in terms of moves or chemistry.

The sad part is, Lebron puts up those numbers almost nightly and Cavs fans shrug it off like no big deal. Kobe has a game like this once or twice a year, and Lakers fans go crazy.

And that my friends, is the difference.

Don't you worry, LeBron will get there soon maybe not four but he'll get his.

Hell he'll already have more MVP's compared to Kobe after this season.

The great thing is, if LeBron wins just 1 title he'll be labeled as better than Kobe. That is a fact and you know it.

I doubt it but the real question is if he wins zero will he be labeled as better than Karl Malone or Charles Barkley?

There is a reason why Horry isn't holding any Finals MVP or any other trophies. There is a huge difference from being on the right teams at the right time and being the major factor in winning Titles.
Horry career stats:
7.0 ppg
4.8 rpg
2.1 apg

Pretty pathetic try even for you though.

When you say being on the right teams at the right time, i'm guessing you mean playing for LA where you can play second fiddle to Shaq right?

Even funnier is the fact that Kobe wouldn't have all 4 of his rings if it wasn't for Horry. I'm guessing you're forgetting a pretty important 3 pointer Horry hit?

Also, since you want to compare numbers and say # of titles doesn't matter, then once LeBron wins one you are self admittedly saying he will be better than Kobe.

Thanks for setting yourself up.

We've had this discussion before. If you Kobe jock swingers want to use the Number titles to prove that Kobe is better than Lebron, then someone can come back and Say that Horry is better than Kobe or even MJ for the exact same reasons.

Kobe has been on some amazing teams when he won the titles, and frankly the Cavs have never had the luxury. The Cavs 2nd best player during Lebron's career has been Mo Williams, and he would be the 7th man on this year's Laker squad. If you fail to see how that's not Lebron's fault, nor should it be held against him, I really don't know what else to say.

Like I've said before, if Kobe and Lebron had identical stats, and identical talent levels around them, one could argue that titles could be the determining factor, but the fact remains neither of those things are true. Lebron is statisically better, and Kobe has/had the better team(s).

LeBron is better than Kobe... it's pretty obvious to everyone except Kobe dingle berries.

http://espn.go.com/nba/powerrankings?year=2010&week=13
When we nominate no one else for the All-Star Game from the team that has been atop these rankings for five straight Mondays, we're saying LeBron has pretty much clinched the MVP trophy.
It's really not even close. Kobe right now has the titles... but that's it. LeBron will get those titles (hopefully in Cleveland). His numbers and career will end up being better than Kobe's at this rate.

Thanks for posting his stats, because Robert Horry is an average player at best, and isn't even in the discussion for being an all-time great. Sure he has more rings than Kobe Bryant, and Micheal Jordan, as well as Shaq and just about every player not named Bill Russel, but he's god awful.

The point is, Kobe's stats look average when you compare them to an all-time great like Lebron James. Sure, Kobe has more rings, but the Robert Horry effect proves that rings don't mean you are a great player. To summarize, Kobe is like the Robert Horry of the modern day NBA, more rings than the GOAT, but just average overall.

Actually let's put it this way. Say before Robert Horry retired, you were arguing with Robert Horry fans, showing the statistics of Kobe Bryant, who obviously has better overall statistics, by a long shot. Then you have a Robert Horry fan say "Well, Robert Horry has 7 rings, Kobe only 3(or 4 now I guess)". And then you quickly rebutt, well Kobe Bryant has superior stats and is obviously the better player, while the Robert Horry responds with a picture of him having 7 rings. See how retarded your argument is?

Duncan, Horry > Kobe.

Horry has the rings, Duncan has the rings and the Finals MVP's(3).
