The latter isn't in the same galaxy as the former.

The browns fans are probably the best. Pretty hard core fans for sticking with a team that continues to shit on them year after year. Hopefully that will stop with this nre management, but they (the fans) have been sold that bullshit before too.

Seems like The Tribe had a lot of bandwagon fans in the mid '90's those have seem to have dropped off lately as well.

OSU will always have a large fan base, so that would be my second place team here.

The Bengals has a lot of people get on board this season, then dropped the ball in the opening round of the pay-offs again. They are a good team, it will be interesting to see how that fan base cvontinues to react.

I am not from the area, but I always love it when these teams make it to the state bball finals....their student sections are unreal.

As for the other team in the poll which I forgot in my first post the Cavs. I am not really into basketball but I would say since they got LeBron I have watched more games, and have been excited about their play-off runs the past few years. Which by definition mkes me the one thing I despise...A Bandwagon fan by proxy.

Gotta go with the Browns. With OSU a close second. The Bengals are growing, but 6 years ago you wouldn't have known anyone actually liked the Bengals. Once they started playing well the fan base expanded, much like the Cavs.

OSU
Browns
Cavs
Bengals
Indians

If the Tribe get good again swap the last two. If you're including HS I agree with Elder, but you got to include Massillon.

Most ardent die-hard fans....?
1. How can the Reds not even be mentioned. Clearly #1.
2. Brown fans are the most-hard core in football, though I admit I am not one.
3. Ohio State is in a whole 'nother category...the college game is full of passion by definition.

Every other team mentioned is absolutely rife with bandwagoneers when things are going well, and ship-jumpers when things are not.

Browns have a lot of fans but most are smelly jerks.

So OSU has the best fans.

I don't believe the Reds sellout games that often, but I could be wrong.

Point is, you never hear anything about the Reds. I live in Columbus, and I can tell you that majority of these people are Cleveland fans, or just don't follow baseball that much.

Maybe it's just in Cincy that there are all of these "great fans", but that's like saying the Bengals have fans that stick with them through the tough times.

To say that it's clear that the Reds are the #1 team in accordance with fans is naive.

I do not follow hockey at all, but do the Jackets sell out their games?

I have been to a couple of Penguin games and those fans are hardcore and the games I went to were sellouts.

All the Cincinnati fans are from Kentucky or Indiana...

I live near Pittsburgh...Pens fans are fanatics...It seems to me that the Blue Jackets haven't been around long enough, and haven't had enough success to develop a really strong fan base. I think they are on their way though...They need to snag all the Toledoans who are Red Wings fans, and the people from Youngstown who are Pens fans...
