I'm a web developer by trade which is the main reason I was able to get this board up and running so quickly. Now that the site is growing and there have been many requests for different features it would be nice to have some other developers to bounce ideas off of or help out with some small enhancements or whatnot. Even if you wouldn't have the time to actually work on any code but would be willing to discuss features that is more than fine.

Check in here with what technologies you are experienced in if you are willing to help out. What I plan on doing is creating a private "Developers forum" that we can discuss stuff in.

I know Cleveland Buck is planning on working on a scoreboard.

Thanks!

I'm here. I was looking at some php stuff last night, and it won't be hard to figure out. I've also done a lot of work with ASP, most databases, Javascript, but I can relearn anything I would need to. I graduated in 2003 and never found any kind of IT job until my current job where I got hired to redesign the web site, but I rarely even have time to work on the website since he has me doing everything else that the other people aren't smart enough to do, so I am not as up to date on some of the stuff as I would like. I'll catch up though.

Anyway, a separate scoreboard page will be easy, but I want to have like a little real-time scoreboard ticker that is at the top of each page (or wherever), and that will be tricky. I'm sure I'll figure it out though, I just need some time. I'll also make up an algorithm based on feedback on the boards to calculate computer rankings for high school and college football teams.

I'll also listen to any other suggestions.

I'd love to see some simple reference type stuff. Examples:

State title history
Past playoff results
All-time team records in playoffs

Things like that. Most of it can be found in the state championship program every year so it wouldn't be hard to obtain the info.

I'm most proficient in assembly, but I don't imagine that'd help too much huh?

I know HTML, ASP.Net, some PHP. I'd be willing to share ideas, or to just have ideas bounced off of me if you'd like.

I have strong web background. I used to freelance full-time. Now am an IT manager and do some freelance in my spare time. I won't be able to help much with physical work because I simply don't have the time, but I'd be more than happy to share thoughts and bounce ideas around.

PHP, Mysql, some ASP, HTML, CSS, etc.

Degree in Visual Communication Technology from Bowling Green State University; specialization in graphic and web design.

I'm admittedly a little rusty with web, but can hand-code some HTML and have a working knowledge with Adobe Dreamweaver and Adobe Flash. If there's a need for any web banners, logos, or vector art, I may be able to help out.

I know and regularly use PL/SQL, SQL, Java, VB, and Unix at work.
I have had HTML just about completely mastered since 6th grade.
If you think I can be of some help, let me know.

Why didn't you consider a Simple Machines (SMF) forum?

I run a website but I am no expert by any means..just learn on the fly.
