Never had any but my brother is always bragging them up when I talk to him. He lives near Myakka City. He just got me hooked on collard greens last time he was up.

I like the cajun ones. Regular ones kinda taste like soggy cardboard. Maybe those are just the ones at "lil crickets".

When I was in Bama for Dega a couple weeks ago, I stopped and got a 3# bag from some lady in her 90's and they were gone before the race was over.

Boiled in the shell with seasonings of choice, hot sauce. At least that is how I do it, crock pot on high for a few hours.

Not sure about a website I get mine in the produce section at publix. They are preboiled I just add more seasoning and boil more. The brand is: Hardy Farms Peanuts, Hot Boiled Peanuts.

Are they dry when you get them? My buddy always bought the big aluminum can of them and they were soaking in some liquid. Man I love Publix, I moved to NC and they don't have any.

They are in a sealed bag with some liquid. You can get them in cans too but I think the bagged ones are better. You have to add more water though when you boil them.

I had some of these when I went to Atlanta to see my sister-in-law and they tasted like they were already chewed up for me.

Just not for me

Ok, so crock pot, seasonings, and peanuts in shell. As for liquid, are we fully soaking these puppies or just putting a cup or so on the bottom? chicken stock or water?

I cover them in water, add crushed red pepper, garlic, cayan pepper, some hot sauce and let them go on high for 3-4 hours but those are the pre-boiled ones. I have never used just straight non pre-boiled peanuts.
