Weather for Friday looks like a high of 53 and a low of 37 with a 20% chance of a shower. I would be willing to guess that the temperature for the majority of the game will be in the 40's and I think we will avoid the rain. Should be a beautiful night for football. Go Bulldogs!

Mooney big. The score likely won't be as ugly, but they'll win just as easily as they did against Hubbard. Poland isn't any better than Hubbard.

Please read the whole story. Whether or not anyone was trying to insinuate anything is irrelevant at this point, the facts are above. That was 4 years ago and there has been no trouble between Mooney and Poland since then. I don't expect any trouble this week either. Two teams will take care of business on the field and the only job we the fans need to concern oursleves with, is who cheers louder!
By the time I read thru the story, I forgot about the first sentence in the original post. My memory ain't what it used to be. Sorry. I do want the Cards to win, even tho I have alot of respect for Poland. I just want BR to meet Mooney again to try to even up the w/l. Not to mention another championship would not hurt.

44Cards, thanks for the update on Karrington. MG, good to see your posts. Best of luck to the Cards this weekend, sounds like the weather shouldn't be a factor.

Unless you can beat us 3 times in one game, you won't be evening up the record this year.

Nice try, buddy. I could tell by your improper syntax and grammar. The real YTOWN would never pen that tripe.

I am not the real Cmhs_pride. ;)

I began to question if it was Ytown or not because he was arguing his point a bit longer than Ytown would on jjhuddle. He was as bad as me at one point, lol.

Hope the weather does indeed hold up. Great game this Friday folks. This is what I talk about when I talk about Mahoning Valley football.

If it was just a matter of somebody using the same name as a well known jj poster, then yes it could be coincidental. However, by typing the name YTOWN all in caps (like the original poster) it is pretty hard to believe this wasn't intentional.

SQ Crazies.....If Poland is no better than Hubbard, then why were they up 24-0 on them at halftime in week 1. Poland put their backup quarterback in at the end of the 3rd quarter and other 2nd stringers as well. When Hubbard scored 13 unanswered points in the 4th, Poland put their starters back in. Many Poland fans would have liked to see them stay on the accelerator, but Coach Brungard is not one to run up the score. Poland ended up beating Hubbard 24-13, but the score was much closer than the game really indicated. I do agree with you that Mooney will probably win this game convincingly, but to say Poland is no better than Hubbard is ignorant when they soundly beat them this season. Not to mention, Hubbard played a cake-walk schedule after Poland.

Don't listen to SQ crazies, he thinks Hubbard is one of the best teams in the state because they beat Salem
42-0!

They are one of the better teams in the state. So is Poland. Look how many teams are left, not that many. Neither one is on Mooney's level though--Mooney is probably THE best team in the state, D1, D2, D3, whatever.

And as far as the Poland/Hubbard game goes, didn't Hubbard have 5 STARTERS that didn't play...and it was week 1. I don't put too much into that game.

Yes they had 5 against Poland who was missing 3 I believe!
They had 3 out against Salem.

I cant believe we have reached week 13 and people STILL aren't giving Poland credit for beating Hubbard and acknowleding who was the better team! Just admit that Poland won the game fairly and was the better squad this year.

That's fine. They beat Hubbard straight up, they still aren't much better and are going to get destroyed by Mooney. That's the whole point I was trying to make. Barring injury Mooney is going to destroy everything in it's path and I can't wait to go watch them do it.

And why does Salem keep coming up? Salem lost to Big Red and didn't make it past week 12, what do they have to do with anything?

Hopefully Poland can rekindle the magic at Fitch stadium from 1999 when they took down the mighty Big Red!

So what is your reasoning behind your statements when you haven't seen either team play?
It was just last week that you were talking about how great Salem was and telling us how good their QB would do against Big Red!
Obviously that didn't happen so your opinions are not valid!

What does Salem have to do with this thread? I never brought them up, I'm talking about Poland and Mooney. I stuck behind the Salem Quakers last week, and they put a great effort forth in their first ever playoff appearance.

How do you know who I have and haven't seen play? You're from Big Red, how are your points anymore valid? My point is going to look pretty valid at the end of the week when Mooney destroys Poland. I'll tell you what, I can't wait to see Big Red get embarassed by Mooney. I'll certainly be in attendance for that one--I'll even buy your ticket because if you do you'll be disappointed you wasted the money in the end.

Uh hmm. Well maybe its because we played Poland this year and Mooney in last years playoffs! Not to mention I've seen both teams in person and this will not be the blow out you have in your puny little mind!

LOL, so since Salem has never played this deep into the season I can't have an opinion on this game? Just like I said last week. Why the hell are you even on this thread anyways...especially talking up Poland. Don't you have your own game to worry about? A little scared of Mooney?

What would the Guy on the Quaker oats box have to say about that !
I will never bet on a high school sport ! Though I will give a prediction!

Poland 17

Mooney 14

LOL, shaking your head...you're just scared. Not like I'd expect you to pay up anyways.

It's going to more along the lines of Mooney 49-Poland 14....but I understand, you are PRAYING that Mooney somehow gets knocked off. I would be too, that's your only chance of going all the way this year.
