Newk, that's alot of points for Carey but you never know what offense will show up.

I can honestly see Carey holding Ada to that 20 though, many people are underestimating the defensive speed and athleticism. There is a reason Carey had all of the 1st teamers for the MAL secondary.

Ada's defense is not very good but Carey's Defense is pretty good. not a fan of this 1 o'clock start i look for a hard fought game with Carey coming out on top. goodluck Blue Devils from SJCC

I feel this game will actually come down to the 1st qtr. If Ada gets out to a lead they should be able to pull away...if Carey starts to pound it up the gut and run their option well, it could be a long night......oops day for the dogs

devil1197..thanks for the referral :)

I'm here.....

GO DEVILS!

There's no doubt that Ada will bring a challenge to Carey, but I really believe that if Carey plays Devil ball well, they will come out on top. There's so much made of what offense/defense you run, but in the end it comes down to execution and the intangibles..heart, pride, desire..and this Blue Devil bunch has all 3.

CAREY PRIDE NEVER DIES!

Hey dia, I hope we do win.

If Carey blocks well they are capable of controlling the clock which is crucial.

I predict a real close game - and agree 1st quarter could be the one to win it. Would have to toss a quarter to pick the winner right now.

Gotta go with Ada since I went there :) Game makes me nervous though, Carey could easily win this. Close game either way, should be a good one, wish I could see it!

Dia, Carey swept 1st team league in the secondary.

There two biggest playmakers are at the CB positions.
-Trevor Phoenix 5 INT's, 1,018 yard rushing, 15 TD's
-Cy Strahm 7 INT's, 3 return TD's, Specialist of the Year

Then the safeties are Jacoby and then Vaughn/Massie. Carey only gives up 94 yards passing per game.

Not sure many teams have a guy to shadow Jackson, but Carey's LB's are very quick not overly big. I think Worst will switch up the scheme to slow Jackson so we may have something new on defense for Saturday.

goodluck devil the key is to play ur spot and ur spot only if the defensive ends can keep him from running around and a linebacker shadow him it sounds like ur defensive backs can keep up so in all goodluck 62 and sunny so great weather.

I heard through the grapevine, that the Ada/Columbus Grove contest was closer than the score indicated and that Ada has trouble stopping the run. CG had quite a few yards rushing....that was then and this is now, but if Carey pounds the ball, could definitely be a long day for Ada.

I'd like to see Carey continue their playoff run so I'll say the blue devils in a close contest!

Carey just needs to come out hard and play tough. I know they can beat Ada but they need to block from the first whistle.

I agree. If Carey's line blocks with intensity from the very start & doesn't let down, I think they can take this one. It won't be easy though.

One of the best defensive teams in the area, LCC was handed a loss to Ada who scored 31 points. I didn't think Carey has the size and speed that LCC has, but I could be wrong. Key is stick with the run even if down on points. Keeping the game low scoring willl be very important.

If Carey controls the ball offensively and limits Adas' touches, they should win in a close one. If the D-ends keep Jackson inside the tackles, it sounds like they should be okay!! I do not think Worst, or Mershman will have to many drastic changes in the Defense at this point. This would be a total surprise if any changes are made at all?? I would like to see a few blitzes though!!! I feel Norden and or Broadman could have the game of thier high school careers in this one after last week!!! Broadman could have a field day with play-action swing passes also?? GO BLUE!!!!!!!!!
