Why does everyone need this on their car?

I know what it stands for, just think it is lame to see it on every other car driving down the road.

I don't understand most any sticker being put on a car.

I think in our our ego driven society, people's use of this sticker is an attempt to show they are well traveled. I don't like it either, but is it any worse than "My kid is an honor roll student at ...."

How about the one's that say "CHOC" on it. Am I missing something or does that really stand for "Chocolate"?

I agree, the funny thing is most people (at least from Ohio) on their way to the OBX drive right by my house (first exit after the I-64/I-95 interchange in Virginia), I've been to the OBX many times, somehow I've avoided putting a sticker on the car.

it's part of a Malley's Chocolates contest. Malley's gives away free bumper stickers and awards a $500 prize each month to a random car spotted with the CHOC sticker

I like it, keep the tourists on that side of the state so the locals who know the good part is in the mountains will be left alone.

Not any worse at all. I find it equally silly.

I hate bumperstickers on cars, but I don't know what I would do if my kid brought me one that said she made the honor roll. I wouldn't want her to think I wasn't proud of that.

It isn't like going to OBX is worth bragging about.

I have a PIB sticker on my car for Put-in-Bay. Not because I've vacationed there but because my family has a home there where I have spent a lot of time and it's someplace that's important to me. People who live on the island or who are summer residents (like my family) take great pride in being part of that island society. It's like being part of a fraternity. It's much the same reason I have Ohio State bumper stickers. It's something I feel some ownership of and something I'm proud of. I think it's no different than someone wearing a t-shirt with their favorite team, vacation sport, or brand of soap.

No, it isn't. He said it right. Otherwise it would be "people have them on there for the same reason you have a rainbow on you are vehicle"

Just to point out, you were looking at the wrong "your".
