1st and 10..Northwest QB got sacked
2nd and 22..penalty (holding)..at the spot of the foul
2nd and 42..Northwest QB gets sacked again
3rd and 56..screen pass for a couple yards
4th and 51..penalty (delay of game)..5 yards
4th and 56..penatly (delay of game)..5 yards
which then brought up 4th and 61.

At least for me, the 4th and 60 made the ending a little more humorous and I wasn't as angry about a loss like that as I usually would be. We simply shot ourselves in the foot to start that overtime and it just got worse from there.

zhon, shutup. Northwest played Dover hard tonight. That's why Dover struggled. They didn't just decide to turn it on in overtime. Two redzone trips with no points is the reason why Dover wins tonight. And yes Dover's D had a lot to do with that but Vic you gotta get some points you weren't going to punch it up the middle on them. Oh, well great game coaching wise and everything else. Congrats on the win Dover and I'm glad I got to see a great game tonight.

If I was NW's QB on 4th and 60 I would have ran around as long as I could and then just ran in the opposite endzone and hope everyone forgot which way we were going. That wouldda been their best chance of scoring.

Why the back-to-back delay of games?

NW need not hang their heads. They played Dover tough all night.

NW fans should be very proud of their kids.

Listened on radio and it sounded like a great game.

Back to back delays, not sure why. Maybe to get everyone on same page, and well rested.

They had to hope for a miracle catch or a bad penalty by Dover, things that could easily happen.

According to the radio announcers the QB or whoever had the ball retreated and ran backwards when he was pressured instead of going down or throwing the ball away. That's crazy, you can't give up yards like that and running backwards leads to 4th and 60. Two sacks got 20 or so yard losses. That can't happen.

I doubt many teams have a 4th & 60 play in their playbooks.

I think the two delay of games were just so everyone knew exactly what to do on the play Whiting was giving. Because really 4th and 55 or 4th and 60? What do 5 yards matter then. We had a long way to go to do anything.

Maybe some Logan folks can back me up on this, but I did a Logan vs Gallia game on the radio several years ago when a similar situation occurred. Galia had a kid hit late and no flags were thrown. A Galia coach charged the field and was flagged for a 15yd unsportsmanlike. When the flag was thrown another coach kicked it about 20 ft in the air and he received a 15 yd penalty. Then one of the players got mad, took his helmet off, and slammed it onto the field, another 15 yd penalty (although at this point they had to throw hats because they were out of flags-NO KIDDING).

This gave Gallia 45 yds worth of penalties which were ALL counted because they were all personal fouls. With the additional yardage that Gallia had to get they were looking at around 55 yds needed for a 1st down.

It took Gallia like 2 plays, but they actually picked up the 1st down and scored!!!!!!

It was crazy...... Oh yeah, forgot to mention that the police had to be called in to settle this whole situation before the game could continue....... Unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Those were not personal fouls, they were all unsportsmanlike conduct fouls which are penalized from the succeeding spot. In this case, everytime a foul was commited, another 15 yards marked off. Also, that's why I always keep a second flag in my pocket.

NW's QB did that alot week 11 against Buckeye Local.

He either got sacked or ran out of bounds for a huge loss, Got the ball picked off, Found a guy 40 yds down field and make a catch lol

I was hoping NW would pull of the victory and play Steubenville...

But congrats NW you had a good team
