My high school team did the slow down my Sophomore year.

Lost quite a few regular seasons games, but made a nice little run in the tournament because of that style.

Irregardless, the fans hated it, and our coach resigned following the season.

Slow down is one thing. Holgate takes it to a whole new level.

They constantly score below 20 points a game. I remember watching a game of theirs (our HS team followed in the tourney). It was 10-6 at halftime in favor of Holgate. They ended up winning 12-10. SOOOOOOOOOO Boring.

I will say, the ONE good thing about doing their games is it is VERY easy. Clock never stops and fouls are rarely needed to be called, so the game goes fast. But my god....WORST basketball ever.
Oh damn. That would be awful. On the other hand, you could have had a Keith Diebler affair.. I imagine that'd be an even more difficult game to officiate, trying to balance perfection with sprinting the hundred meter while watching a carnival, a pinball machine hit the record and a madman follow you up and down the sideline for 32 minutes.. I sure do love watching his teams play, though, especially those great ones.

How many varsity games do you do a year?

I actually just started this year. I did a JV game in Holgate and watched the varsity game afterwords. The JV plays the same damn way, lol.

I am just refereeing on the side for some extra cash, not sure Ill do it long enough to move to varsity though (need 2 years). I really only wanna do this til I get a more stable job (im 23) so I doubt I ever try to go much higher than JV even if im eligible.

Our high school team was averaging about 25 ppg most of the season. We did the same as holegate.

Every player but one had the red light unless it was an uncontested layup.

I wouldve transferred lol. I almost averaged more than your team alone at just under 25 a game.

I cant stand playing in such an organized system. I like the fast break, into motion/flex systems. Our HS team averaged about 70. Of course we were terrible my last 2 yrs compared to my first 2. Maybe we shouldve slowed it down...
