My wife and I bought a Wii last night with some leftover Christmas money and giftcards. She wanted it to get the Wii Fit and a few of the other workout "games" and I was happy to oblige so I could get the various Mario games.

What are the "must have" games?

I am planning on the new Super Mario Bros., Mario Galaxy, Mario Party, Super Smash Brothers. Any other good Mario games I am missing?

They are all fun at first. We have had ours for about a year or so.We go buy wii points and
download games mostly.Tetris and pool on download is fun if you spend 500 points on the internet
channel. They match you up with players around the globe. The thing is no one plays in my house antmore so it just sits there.

I'm not too worried about that. I know my wife will continue to use it even if it is just for Wii Fit.

I am looking into softmodding it so I can run some emulators on there and possibly put my NES into storage to clear up some shelf space.

Your goimg to need to buy some memory cards for it then to hold more games. They run about 20 a piece. There is also a game out there called jeep.If you like dirt road racing games that are pretty realistic go buy a wheel.

Yeah, I've got plenty of SD cards sitting around. I figure a 2gb card should do the trick for me.

Best game outside of Mario series is still the wii sports package imo. The woman likes the wii fit too and she is the only one that uses it most of the time.

The thing I like about my wii is I can lay on the couch and get on the huddle and check thing on computer if I don't feel like getting up.The thing I don't like is the wii is not formatted to download things like credit card buys and most applications conserning downloads. If you figure that out can you let me know.

Yeah, I really enjoy Wii Sports. I am thinking about picking up the Wii Sports Resort as well.

I have heard good things about the Wii Resort and may try that out one day next week. I know if I don't use the WII now I never will in the summer.

Look into the 'Homebrew Channel' so you can play burnt games. That's what we did with our Wii.

Resort is a good one.

I'd also recommend the new Punch Out game. That one is really fun.

Download Bags. Nothing beats playing cornhole on a video game system. I think it was only like $7 or something like that when I downloaded it.
