Hey I live in Newark and I consider myself normal. The song is funny though.

The Parma song is funny too but I find it sad that the world's greatest rock n roll radio station WMMS is no more.

I've got a Carhartt toboggan that I love but that's about it. I had a pair of Carhartt overalls that I've got too small to wear anymore.

justincredible wrote: WNCI did a song about Zanesville back in the 90s. It's pretty hilarious as well.

To the tune of Living on a Prayer...

"We go barefoot, we don't wanna wear shoes,
we fish off the Y-bridge, everybody here chews,
we shoot up road signs, nobody shampoos,
and plus we've all got tattoos

oooohh it ain't no thrill,
oooohh, livin' in Zanesville"
Also had one about Marysville to the tune of Beverly Hills by Weezer.

Had one about Chillicothe to the tune of N'Sync's It's Gonna Be Me that made fun of the paper plant for smelling like ass... Just a fyi, the entire south end of Columbus smells like ass.

I can't find these songs anywhere, but I'll never forget them if they are never uploaded.

When we played Licking Valley back in the 2005 playoffs it was like a Carhart convention on the visitor side of Fawcett. That memory has always stuck with me.

We have actually tried to get the official colors of Licking Valley to be changed from Red White and Blue to Carhart, Flannel, and Cammo. I guess it will always be our "unofficial" colors.

As for people saying people from Newark are backwards...not ALL of us...but I promise you, if you go to Wal Mart at 4pm on any given Sunday, you WILL be awe struck, entertained...and if you are one of the lucky "Normal" ones....kind of ashamed.

Without really "knowing" you, I can say whole-heartedly that you are the most normal person from that city that I have ever "met." Let me state for the record that a bunch of my closest friends are from Newark, so I am not 100% dissing the city, it just amazes me what comes out of their mouths and some of the antics that they pull. It's like they are from another planet.
Do you know what HS they went to?

But yeah, Newark is an odd city. When people ask me where I am from I always say the tiny town I actually grew up in (Toboso) but my mailing address was Newark.
Yep, to my knowledge, they all went to Newark Catholic, and they graduated in 1992 and 1993.
i graduated from NC in 1992 and my brother did in 1993
