Boise State 15/1
Nebraska 15/1
Oklahoma 15/1
TCU 18/1
Iowa 20/1
Miami 20/1
Penn State 20/1

Alabama 3/1
Texas 5/1
Ohio State 13/2
Oregon 12/1

Nebraska 15/1
Oklahoma 15/1
TCU 18/1

And get beat handedly. While they may run the table(other than VT they play no one) they will get curb stomped against any of the top teams.BigAppleBuckeye wrote: That Boise State line is tempting ... I think if they run the table again they may indeed get their shot.
You'd beating $1300 if you bet on all the teams listed there. You'd only make money on the teams from Boise on down.sjmvsfscs08 wrote: Couldn't you put $100 on each of them, and if someone other than Texas or Alabama wins it, you make some cash? Forgive me for not knowing, I'm not a gambler.
Not sure I agree with you ... they looked as impressive against Oregon as the Buckeyes did, and they took down TCU, who many felt deserved a shot at the title this year.bases_loaded wrote:And get beat handedly. Nope, if you bet $100 on the 11 teams listed (not including Alabama or Texas), that would cost you $1,100. If Ohio State won at 13-2 odds, you would only get $650 back (actually a little less, you would have to pay the house).sjmvsfscs08 wrote: Couldn't you put $100 on each of them, and if someone other than Texas or Alabama wins it, you make some cash? I was thinking the same thing. With McCoy leaving I don't think they have much of a shot (although the Big XII South doesn't look terribly difficult next year either). Maybe the positives that the backup showed in the title game is enough to move the line for them to where it is.sleeper wrote: I don't understand why Texas is up there, Colt McCoy is leaving.

Try educating Cavalier fans on how odds work. Last year, the Cavs were 6-1 favorites to beat the Magic. Yet people somehow think that the Magic were a better team than the Cavs.j_crazy wrote: that list is what you'd use to make your bets. if it's a joke, place your bets.
6-1 favorites doesn't make any sense. I would check your numbers again.Footwedge wrote:

On paper the Cavs were better..period. Sometimes upsets happen.
It is called easy money. There are plenty of USC fans who will think their team will win the NC next year so entice them with some odds and bingo easy money.krambman wrote:I was thinking the same thing. I also don't understand USC being so high. I think they are probably a 2-3 loss football team next year.
I think that's the point. Big names like Texas and USC seem to always be in the title hunt, therefore, odds makers make odds to make it seem as if they are favorites. People put money on said teams and said teams don't come close. The house wins.ccrunner609 wrote: THat list is a joke.
USC and Texas arent coming close. I wouldnt of made them 50/1. PSU will have 2 loses so they might as well be 1,000/1.
Oregon and Boise should be at the top with odds like 3/1 or 4/1 because both of them are going to be undefeated.
Props for the GOAT post of insults. HAHAHAHAborn2laxallday wrote:derek bomar wrote: Florida at 25:1 looks tasty
