Big game for both teams.
From a Carolina standpoint, they need this win badly. They have a tough test at home against GT on Saturday, so a win tonight is very important. Gonna be very difficult to win at LittleJohn though. Kind of worried about the Heels taking care of the ball against the Clemson press. We'll see how it goes.

Clemson 7-9 from the field to start the game. Knew that would happen.
Zeller not playing tonight with foot injury. Not good at all for Carolina.

Make that 11-15, including 4-7 from three point range.
8 Carolina turnovers already.

Clemson is hitting everything and Carolina can't buy a bucket. This could get real ugly, Clemson playing like they have something to prove.

Carolina with 10 turnovers already.
Clemson shooting 65% from the field, and 5-9 from behind the arc.
This is the same team who shot 18% from the field in the 1st half against Duke. The Blue Devils are a much better defensive team than Carolina right now, but come on. This is just crazy.

Wear looked like he belonged handling the ball in the back court. Why aren't Graves, Ginyard and Strickland coming back to get the ball instead of running down and waiting to set up the offense.
And another pass whistles out of bounds, untouched by anyone...

One good thing for the Heels in this game is that Oliver Purnell is on the other sideline. He hasn't exactly been good at extending or holding big leads...

I'd love to see it happen, but I doubt if even Clemson can blow this lead.karen lotz wrote: One good thing for the Heels in this game is that Oliver Purnell is on the other sideline. He hasn't exactly been good at extending or holding big leads...
7-12 from behind the arc now...still shooting over 60% overall. If I was Roy, I think I might advise my team to stop doubling down.

Drew II is getting into the lane at will. He has missed a couple easy lay-ups and made a few bad passes, but I think he could be really effective the rest of this game if he continues to penetrate.

I agree, this game reminds me of the OSU game last night. Clemson has played lights out and been on fire in the first half. I don't think Carolina can play much worse than they have to this point. Hopefully they can figure something out defensively at the half and find a way to claw their way back into the game.

It would be nice to get this down to around 10 by the half, but every time they have a chance to cut into the lead, they turn it over again.
Need to be getting the ball inside to Davis and Thompson also. It seems like they've completely abandoned their offensive gameplan.

Definitely, Thompson and Davis have been the most consistent all season. Credit Clemson for making Carolina play faster than even they want to and take them out of their game.

Over/Under - 30 turnovers tonight for Carolina.
15 so far. This is painful to watch.

Stitt now has 3 doesn't he?
Why did Purnell have him in the game?

Hopefully that rip and dunk by Strickland can light a fire under the team heading into the half.

Strickland has played very well. Love the way he is progressing. Like you said, hopefully that play before the half can create some sort of spark.
Clemson finished the first half shooting 56% from the field, and 7-15 from three. Unreal.
Even more unbelievable, Davis and Thompson have only 2 points combined.

Had to stop off at a bar to watch the heels get blasted. Duke took care of business so tonight is just icing on the cup cake

Roy should have left the 5 freshmen in the game. They were playing much better than the other guys.
