Didn't read this thread...but great move in going man in the second half. I'm sure someone pointed that out above.

Hummel had very few shots contested...I mean really contested....not a token leap at him after he was squared up and firing.

Hummel is a career 28% 3pt shooter
Actually, coming into this season Hummel was a 40% 3-point shooter. He has struggled this year, but after his performance against OSU he is a 35% 3-point shooter for the year.

This was a very impressive win for OSU. It was one of those "key 5" games that could give them a notable win heading into March. They get another chance at one Saturday when Wisconsin comes in without Leuer. This will put much less pressure on OSU not losing one of their winnable games in the upcoming month and they should be well-prepared for a very good, if not great season now.

Huge win for many reasons, and this is coming from someone who is usually one to take the pessimistic approach when discussing the Buckeyes.

It was a very good win for OSU with no luck involved as was suggested above. I thought OSU was able to pull this one out because Purdue in the last 8 minutes became more interested in running the shot clock down than scoring points. They would end up with bad shots at the end of the shot clock and OSU would go down a score. Purdue appeared to lose all momentum and were not able to recover when OSU caught up with them. I thought the strategy by Coach Painter was questionable even though most coaches do this. I've never understood why if you're beating a team playing, why do you go into a semi stall.
