Beer...anything from Bells, one thing Michigan does well. :D

And, i prefer whiskey as far as liquor goes. George Dickel's Tennesse Whiskey is my favorite. :D

My pref would probably be for Drambuie. It has a unique taste to go along with the buzz.

CFF, what bourbons would you recommend?

If you like a Wheat Bourbon, MM is okay, but overrated and overpriced. Elijah Craig or Buffalo Trace are 2/3 the price and far superior.

And id we are going Wes_Mantooth's route, I was always partial to Annie Green Springs growing up. Best mixed with grain alcohol, but THAT, my friends, is another story for another time.
Guys - MM used to sell a 100-proof "gold seal" bourbon in some areas that was much better that the 86 proof "red seal" - the extra proof had a bite that overcame the excessive wheat. They still export a very small quantity of 100-proof to Japan - at $325 a bottle.

I still haven't had a bad bourbon yet, though - OK, except for Jim Beam, which tastes like the mash contained 30% grass clippings :)

WHAT - no love for Zima Gold???? :)
Evan Williams is far superior to Beam-- two offshoots of the same family.
Old Forsters is teh frist bottled bourbon-- a little sweeter.
And now Beam has that Red Stag crap out- cherry infused bourbon. Puhlease.
Best I ever had was Rowan's Creek. http://www.kentuckybourbonwhiskey.com/rowan_creek.php

Crown Royal - when in a whisky mood. (which is most of the time). Sometimes with cola and most times just on ice.

Kettle One - with cranberry, if I am tired of whisky. (I like Goose but it is overpriced)

Cabo Wabo Reposado - GREAT sipping tequilla
