I remember a thread not to long ago asking whether Kurt was Hall Of Fame worthy. Many people said no.
Are there any doubters out there now?

I'm pretty sure it was last year prior to the Superbowl. There should be little doubt in his HOF creditials.

Well, One game certainly doesnt push a guy over the edge if he is close to a Hall of Famer! One 1st round playoff game doesnt change anything bout that. It is a career, not a game!! Especially when the game wasnt a SB.

Have you seen his post season records and stats?? Its more than just 1 game. Here are some:september63 wrote: Well, One game certainly doesnt push a guy over the edge if he is close to a Hall of Famer! One 1st round playoff game doesnt change anything bout that. # Most Yards Passing, Super Bowl (Game) - 414 yards vs. Tennessee Titans (only QB to pass for 400+ yards in the Super Bowl; also owns 2nd and 3rd highest yardage total in Super Bowl with 377 against the Pittsburgh Steelers and 365 against the New England Patriots). [33][34]
# Most Yards Passing, Super Bowl (Career) - 1,156 yards.
# Most Yards Passing, Playoffs (Single Season) - 1,147 yards (in 2009).
# Most touchdown passes in a single postseason - 11 (in 2009, tied w/Joe Montana, who did it in 1990)

^^ Being a Super Bowl really makes no difference. Plenty of hall of famers did not win a Super Bowl yet people remember them.
King Kurt played one of the best games of his career today and has a great chance next week to beat the Saints imo. He will be a hall of famer when it's all said and done.

I don't know who could possibly question Warner's HOF status. He will be in, and deservedly so!!

I know that was a hell of a performance for an old dude, that's for certain. I thought he was in before this game though.

3 Super Bowl appearances quarterbacking 2 different teams (who also happened to be 2 of the leagues worst franchises).
2 League MVP's.
Monster playoff stats and some of the best statistical seasons an NFL quarterback has ever had.
He was in before today, and this only adds to his case.
He has had an unconventional career to say the least compared to most HOF qb's, but when he has been healthy he has played at a tremendously high level.

I'm ridin' with the Cardinals the rest of the way...I want to see Warner get another ring.
Kurt might have to do that again next week if he wants' to beat the Saints. Could be another shootout.

Who knows, maybe we will have a Warner/Favre NFC Championship game with the winner receiving an AARP card instead of a trip to the Super Bowl as it would be the ultimate battle of the gray beards.I'm ridin' with the Cardinals the rest of the way...I want to see Warner get another ring.

First time we are in total agreement. Kurt Warner is a for sure Hall of Famer. My absolute favorite to watch play.ccrunner609 wrote:september63 wrote: Well, One game certainly doesnt push a guy over the edge if he is close to a Hall of Famer! Name them. And NFL/AFL championships count as titles, so we're talking someone who either didn't win one of those pre-1970 or a Super Bowl post-1970.KnightXC1 wrote: ^^ Being a Super Bowl really makes no difference. Plenty of hall of famers did not win a Super Bowl yet people remember them.

2 MVP's and a Super Bowl win. That's pretty much automatic qualification.

Kurt Warner is my second-favorite quarterback, behind Kurt Warner. He's a great guy, and has a great story. Not only that, he's fucking good.
HOF'er no doubt.
HOF'er no doubt.

Earl Campbell
Eric Dickerson
Dan Dierdorf
Dan Fouts
Deacon Jones
Jim Kelly
Dan Marino
Warren Moon (unless you want to count his 5 Grey Cup victories)
Barry Sanders
O. J. Simpson
Bruce Smith
Fran Tarkenton
Thurman Thomas
Jim Thorpe
This is just a list of players that most people on this forum would recognize. There are even more "no-namers" in the Hall of Fame that never won a championship.

No. I was more agreeing with what Wes said. If he was a HOF guy, yesterdays game didnt just make him one, or seal the deal. He was a HOF QB before that game.

I'm not sure why there is a debate whether Warner is a HOF'er or not.
The guy didn't play a full career in the NFL, but almost the entire time he's played, he was one of, if not the best QB in the league at the time. Throw in individual and team achievements, and he's a lock.
There are many QB's in the HOF who weren't as dominant over their career as Kurt Warner was.

Hall of Famer! He is a winner wherever he goes.
