Thurmans is good but if you venture east on RT40 the Jacktown pub is good as well.

Usually when we head through columbus on the way down to Athens, we always try to stop at Mac's on high street in the short north. A cool little pub with a great beer selection, and even better hamburger! They are huge and juicy

It's an hour drive outside of Columbus, but I guess it can still be considered Columbus area. Crabill's Hamburgers in Urbana, OH, makes bar none the best burgers in the world. They are slider style, and the cook them fresh on a grease cover skillet. If you're ever in the Urbana area, it's definitely worth a stop.

Another vote for Thurman's...just be prepared to wait at least an hour, probably more.

Chef-o-Nette in Upper arlington is a classic diner style restaurant. Good food, classic place.

up in Findlay.....
Wilson's; reportedly the inspiration for the whole Wendy's franchise.....
square-cut, fresh-ground, juicy burgers. And, if your order off the street in-line at the shop,
you'll get all the attitude you can handle...part of the experience, I guess.
