Orrville had 6 freshman yesterday. I think they will be really good in a few years.

I seen in the Ashland paper that Norwayne wrestled Cestview and won every match from 103-145. I agree Raber did look big 160 could be tough.

Raber has much of a chance of getting down to 160 as Keyes does from Dalton:rolleyes:

keyes is agood wrestle and Im sure agood kid but not quit the same level of raber. I would say the best shot for him to get to state is 171 (follow Philips).

Was only comparing body size not wrestling ability. Raber is an excellent wrestler. Keyes has given him fits though the past 6 years.
Keyes will wrestle at Sectionals at 171.

Does anyone have results from the Chippewa invitational. The Daily record was pretty sparse on the wrestling stats for a pretty busy weekend of wrestling. Good luck to the Bears today at the duals....a good showing demonstrates how tough our area is ...especially with the Bears once again in a rebuilding year..lol Beast
WABC was all Perry!! very slow run tournament. too small of a gym and only 2 mats made life for a fan Miserable

They slowed it on purpose. The two mats were absolutely necessary or it would have been too fast. Other than that it was very good especially with the predicament with the weather.

Bears finished 5th at State Duals. Dropping a descent match to a very poor sportsmanship West Jeff team, then Rallying to beat Elmwood and Heath convincingly. Tough pill to swallow....Cuyahoga Heights(Bears beat earlier in season) upset the Roughriders of West Jeff to win the D-III State Duals Championship!
CH was aided by 2 unsportsmanlike call aagainst WJ to prevail 29-28? or 30-28. All you folks who think Waynedale is bad...lol WOW, I experienced bad today...WJ fans, wresters and coaches are definately...rough!

IMO I beleived both W. Jefferson and Waynedale were the 2 sleepers in D3 and they both lived up to that. I wish I could have been there to see the fans of these two schools go at it, they also lived up to expectations, LOL. Good job to Waynedale for representing the local area well.

West Jeff is terrible. Their coach is a whiner. I know I give Waynedale a lotta crow, but thats only cuz they are in my league. Congrats to the bears.
