So if the game was at the Sullivan this year, only 2,000 or 3,000 people would be "turned away" or not be able to attend because of seating capacity, instead of even more than that at SJJ. Either way, unless the game's at U.T., lots of people are left out in the cold.

The Irish will be revealing new sweet uniforms for this game.
What do the new uniforms look like?
They're green uniforms.

Are they different from the green uni's they had last year or the same ones?

It look like Ross just said last Friday night was sold out at Central and this Friday St. John's will be sold out, but this time we will know well in advance. Why even bother making a post responding in tht way -- how about commenting on the game and giving us some of your knowledge and insight, if you have any?
well, since you put it that way,SJJ by six---better?

You're the one who started off with the big rag on SJJ hosting this game. If you're going to the game, please report back later tonight. And regardless, have a great night and weekend.

Anyone who didn't get tickets can go to www.centralcatholic.org and watch the game live online. There will be a link on the homepage that you click, you can't miss it.

SJJ knows how to win the big games. They have owned the city league in basketball at least 80% of the time since 1990.

I think it's safe to say that these two will meet again, perhaps more than once. Waite's victory certainly muddies the waters a little and Whitmer's loss is puzzling. The City is wide open and we're only about half way through. What a year!

Excellent game by both teams. It's unfortunate CCHS came up short, they had opportunities to win this game. Free throws, free throws, free throws, make your free throws guys!

Not only was the varsity match up an excellent overtime game, did anyone see the JV game? CCHS won it in two overtimes on a last second put back.

CCHS won the JV game on an in-boounds play underneath their own basket with .6 seconds left.

And the Titans lost 52-50 and led most of the way and that's a "CCHS hangover"?

Coach Heinstchel made the comment after the game--he said that Romulus is an excellent team, but felt that his team suffered a "little hangover" from an emotional win the night before(ie "CCHS hangover")....some of you people need to relax, and let the Titans do what they do best--and that is WIN when tourney time comes around ;)

I just looked up online at Southview's schedule and they did indeed beat St. John's 62-56. I just find that interesting because Central Catholic creamed Southview 77-57.

In basketball, anything can happen a team could get hot one night and have a drought the next. That is just how the game is.
