I've been lurking here for a while, but finally signed up. I, too, was one who had paid the lifetime membership fee, but have now exceeded my lifetime over there. This is all the more true, since for some reason, my IP address is BANNED over there! I hadn't even posted in a while, and I just show up after they switched to paid and BOOM! Banned! I think it's because of my new router. Oh well. Anyway, thank you for putting this site together in such a short time. It's great for true fans of the sports to have an open place to chat, without having to worry about all the corporate bs.

Glad I found the new site, JJ's dead. Posts on the Central Ohio forums front page that haven't been touched in 5 days, what a joke. Also, I was clicking around and there were several dead links on the bottom and side, I think they're losing advertisements LOL.

^^^Welcome! This site is terrific. Yet another HUGE "Thank You" to Justincredible for giving us a viable alternative to what was once a proud site.

This site is basically jjhuddle circa 2004, before it lost focus of what made it so popular to begin with. I acctually was considering paying the 12 bucks till i found this board now and glad I did. One again a big thank you to all those who put this together.

If you guys are still recruiting make sure you tell the people on JJ this is legit. I thought it was a total joke that was being made just to let you know.

Thanks again

It took me a while to get here but I am glad I made the move. I, too, was a lifetime member (joined around 2003?) and had lost interest in the huddle while the content deteriorated from sports talk to trash. Thanks for having me here! :)

I have never been much of a poster either, but thank you, Justin Credible for the awesome site. The only thing that could make it better is to get the BIG RED fans off here. lol. Again thank you

It is quite interesting to go to the Forum lists on JJ. Some forums have not had any new posts in days and those that have had hits have threads on their first page that are days or weeks (before the Dawning of the Dark Side over there) without being touched.

The Central Ohio Football page over there has threads on the first page, three days old with no posts. Has any football page over there EVER had its first page not filled by current, active threads??? Nope.

It is a sure sign that the site is dying a slow death. Even the Free Page is not generating the kind of hits that it had before the fall of sensibility over there.

But I now doubt that JJ and Natali are big enough men to swallow their pride, admint a mistake and change it back. Their egos won't let them and besides, my bet is many of the former members are now gone for good.

I can promise you I will never go back. I still post, but would never call it home. They touched a wrong nerve. I love this place.

For me, it was never about the money. It was the principle. I used to spend most of my time explaining rules, interpretations, situations and engage other officials about some of the gray areas. I'm happy to have another place to do so.

Glad to see a UmpRef on this sight. Now when we get those complaints about things that are confused with collage and pro rules we have someone to explain it. You know, "He was outside the tackle box" and things like that.

Thanks, Hammer. I like to give factual information as to the rules and to provide interpretation when the action get fuzzy. I give that information free of charge and on my own time. I was not about to PAY for the privelege to do so. I am not always correct, but like most officials . . . I am ALMOST all the time!!! LOL!

I agree about Yappi. It has been around a long time and the interest just isn't there for some reason. There are NO NW ohio huddlers so it is useless to me. I'm sure this site easily exceeds there posts per day.

If anyone on here wants to donate to the Kory Wiita fund, here's the link:

Full count...although we do agree...kinda try to get away from the whole JJ bashing. There is a thread about this in the Serious Business forum though if you'd like to voice your same concerns over there.
