Nah, I just like clothes. Nothing wrong with that.

Four pair Levi's (505, 550 and two 560s) and one pair of Wranglers to wear out in public.
About a half a dozen pairs of work jeans, all were former out in public. My favorite old jeans, made by Doc Martens, turned into the greatest baggy work jeans ever for winter months.

The last 4-5 years I've started to get my jeans from Old Navy. Didn't care for jeans growing up as I usually just had Levi or Wrangler, but bought some jeans on sale at Old Navy and they were really comfortable. Normally go nice dress pants Monday-Thursday then blue jeans Friday-Sunday (unless it's 70+ out).

I have three pair, all from Banana Republic (I only buy when I can get the 40% off or more). I think they are all straight leg fit. One pair is pretty baggy on me and the other pair is a little too short, so I don't wear them often. The pair that does fit, I wear almost every day. Wash once per week.

I went there to look and passed the eye test from the front but thought the back/pockets looked cheap

"Dress up" isn't a binary thing. There are levels, and what that guy is wearing is more than fine for a lot of things you would "dress up" for.

I've had one pair where the stitching around one of the pockets started to come loose, but the rest have been good. I also paid $20-$25 for them because they had a sale so if they didn't last I was good with it, but think I have like 6 of their jeans and only had the one issue.

Surely. I would say that wearing jeans when I was young was never considered or appropriate dress up.

Yeah, but khakis and a polo shirt probably were considered dressing up.

I would love to know what CC considers dressing up for several different types of occasions. CC please break it down for us.

Church, hanging out with friends, formal event, semi-formal event, work, etc.

It's always funny when the guy who says this suddenly decides he's an authority on what clothes are suitable to wear at what places.
