The committee cares about having one loss, rather than having two, which is supported by last year's scenario. I get that Ohio State had three top 10 wins last year, and that's why they got in over Penn State. But this year, Bama is gonna have a terrible resume and they're still gonna get in because they have one loss. Like I said, don't lose to Iowa and it's not an issue, but the committee can be kinda confusing with what they value and what they don't.
